What you can do

Start with the customer who can receive the offer

A Quote Specialist needs an eligible customer and a clear operating organization before preparing an automation offer. The customer record holds the account code, contact, address and eligibility note. The quote connects that customer to its organization and assigned owner so the commercial work has a defined scope from the start.

App Administrator maintains customer and membership records. The specialist uses that context to prepare the quote and its evidence. Pricing Reviewer needs the same customer context when deciding a submitted offer, while Auditor can follow the account behind a completed decision. Keep the account’s eligibility note useful enough to explain restrictions that affect an offer.

How the work is organized

  • Operating scope. Keep the organization’s active setting, currency and time zone current. Customer and team membership belong to that organization. Check the organization attached to the quote before adding automation details or commercial lines.
  • Customer eligibility. Maintain the customer’s active setting alongside its contact and eligibility note. A contact name identifies whom the team works with; the note explains the customer conditions the specialist must consider during preparation.
  • Accountable ownership. Assign an active team member as quote owner. The team member’s platform identity connects personal work to the person using the system. A change of owner needs a clear handoff of open preparation and review questions.

What to agree during setup

Agree how customer codes are assigned and who can correct account details. Decide which organization should quote when several operating entities deal with the same customer. Record the customer eligibility rules the preparation team will use and the people responsible for resolving an unclear account.

Set up membership before testing personal quote access. Confirm that the specialist’s user identity points to the intended team member and organization. Pricing Reviewer must be able to see the customer needed for a decision without gaining authority to maintain customer master data. Use the roles page to rehearse that division of work.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Prepare a rehearsal quote for a packaging-line controller upgrade. App Administrator checks the customer’s active setting, contact and eligibility note. Quote Specialist selects the customer, the operating organization and the quote owner, then adds the subject and validity date.

Ask the specialist to open personal work and locate that quote. Have Pricing Reviewer inspect the customer context from the review route. Try a customer from another organization as a negative case and verify the scope check before proceeding. If membership or customer eligibility needs correction, return to App Administrator and repeat preparation with the corrected records. Keep the successful account selection with the rehearsal evidence.
