Pricing review

Pricing Reviewer examines the quote after its lines have been priced and the quote has entered Review. The decision identifies the source revision, reviewer, decision time and reason. Approve, Reject and Return give the reviewer distinct ways to handle a priced offer without relying on unrestricted editing of the underlying quote.

The reviewer must be independent of the quote owner. A current revision and an eligible validity period matter as well: approval of an earlier price cannot settle a later change, and an expired offer needs attention before acceptance. Operation receipts retain the result of the guarded action alongside the decision evidence.

• Review preparation. Quote Specialist submits the priced offer with its customer, owner and price-book context. Pricing Reviewer checks the line calculation and the exact revision before deciding whether the offer can proceed.
• Independent decision. The reviewer uses Approve for an acceptable revision, Reject when the offer should not proceed, or Return when the owner needs to correct it. The reason makes the next handoff understandable to the specialist.
• Revision control. A decision belongs to the revision that was examined. If the quote changes, the team follows the correction and pricing path so that the next decision refers to the current commercial inputs.

Assign an independent reviewer for the pilot and confirm who covers that responsibility when the normal reviewer is unavailable. App Administrator maintains membership but does not gain business pricing approval authority by maintaining the organization or customer accounts.

Agree what belongs in a useful decision reason. A return should explain the correction needed, such as checking the device quantity or the line discount. Set the evidence visibility convention so the reviewer can inspect the necessary documents while internal material stays under the intended access rules. Confirm the time convention used to assess the quote’s validity.

Use a rehearsal quote whose USD line calculation has been checked and whose status is Review. Pricing Reviewer verifies the owner is someone else, examines the current revision and chooses Return with a reason asking the specialist to correct the quantity. Quote Specialist follows the draft and pricing path with the corrected input.

The reviewer then examines the newly submitted revision and records a fresh decision. Attempt a decision using the earlier expected revision and confirm that it cannot authorize the changed price. Repeat a successful decision request and check that it returns its existing evidence rather than creating another approval. Finally, have the owner attempt to approve their own quote and verify that the independence guard refuses the action.
