What you can do

Follow the gate from reservation to admission

Admissions holds individual lines for reserved and admitted quantities. Each line belongs to a fixture and has a line number and revision. Staff can record the attendee reference, quantity, reservation time and, when the person is admitted, the admission time. The distinction matters when a reservation is held but the attendee never arrives.

The Admission Steward starts from an open fixture. The selected fixture supplies the capacity context and makes it easier to inspect related admissions. An operation receipt records a guarded attempt using an operation key and expected revision. The workflow text calls for an admitted time to be written exactly once. A completed reservation also depends on verified provider capture evidence, so staff must treat payment and attendance as related but distinct facts.

How the work is organized

  • Set the check-in practice. Agree how staff identify an attendee reference at the venue.
  • Control quantities. Compare reservations with fixture capacity before adding another claim.
  • Handle repeats. Use the existing line and operation receipt when a scan or request is repeated.

What to agree during setup

Agree who can reserve places, who records admission at the gate and how staff handle a failed scan. Make the admission line number recognizable in a dispute. Decide when the team checks verified payment evidence and who investigates a receipt left pending or needing review.

Check the handoff on an actual case

For a fixture with a limited capacity, the steward records a reservation line against the open event. The same request arrives again after a slow network response. The operation key lets the team identify the earlier attempt instead of claiming another place. At arrival, the steward records the admission time on the existing line. After the event, the reconciler compares the admitted quantities with verified captures. An unused reservation can be released during cancellation while the admitted line remains part of the event history.

At the gate, the practical question is whether a person has already been admitted for this fixture. Staff should inspect the existing line and its attendee reference before making a change. A reservation time records the earlier claim; an admitted time records the arrival. Keep that sequence clear when a device reconnects or a second steward handles the same attendee.

What your team sees

  • Admissions by fixture — Inspect reserved and admitted lines for the selected event.
  • Open fixtures — Choose the event that is accepting admission.
  • Receipt exceptions — Find guarded attempts that require investigation.
