What you can do

Bring the completed call into the relationship

Relationship Owner prepares a call session for a selected opportunity. The record retains the provider’s call identifier, start date, duration and recorded consent. These facts let Sales Manager review which call is being attached and whether the submission has the information needed to proceed.

A call moves from Draft to Submitted for review, then to Approved or Rejected. An Approved call becomes Completed only after the completion receipt has been retained. The opportunity keeps its commercial position while the call is attached, so a recorded conversation does not automatically change the sales stage or expected value.

How the work is organized

  • Call preparation. Select the opportunity and check the saved provider identifier, start date, duration and consent. Submission checks the call’s organization and the owner’s authority along with the version being submitted.
  • Independent review. Sales Manager reviews the submitted version. The reviewing person must differ from the person who submitted the call. A rejection or return includes a reason so the owner knows what needs attention.
  • Completion. The owner can complete an approved attachment only with the matching approval and retained consent. The action keeps its completion receipt before the call is marked Completed, allowing later reconciliation to follow the outcome.

What to agree during setup

Connect the telephony provider that supplies the call identifier and timing information. Agree how the team records and checks consent before submission. If recording capture or calling controls are needed, arrange those with the chosen provider and define the evidence returned to the CRM.

Set the reviewer assignment so the owner can obtain an independent decision. Agree how the team handles duplicate provider identifiers, a corrected duration or a changed opportunity link. The approved version needs to remain the basis for completion; a changed call should be reviewed through the agreed correction path.

Check the handoff on an actual case

An owner finishes a prospect call and prepares its session against the right opportunity. The record includes the provider identifier, start date, duration and consent. Sales Manager reviews the submitted version and records an approval. The owner then follows completion to its retained receipt before treating the attachment as finished.

Rehearse the same case with consent missing. Resolve that issue before submission can proceed. Next, try attaching the same provider call again and check that it does not create a duplicate completed attachment.

Finally, have the submitting person attempt to review the call under a different role. The review still needs a different person. Compare the opportunity’s stage and expected value before and after valid completion: the call attachment should preserve those commercial facts. Any qualification or closing decision follows its own review.

What your team sees

  • Call Review Queue — Submitted calls show the opportunity, provider identity and consent for review.
  • Approved Calls — Approved sessions remain visible for the authorized completion handoff.
  • Completed Call History — Completed sessions retain their recorded timing and opportunity reference.
