Prepare daily work with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare record reviews and configuration while staff retain clinical decisions.

It can

  • Clinical Coordinator: Prepare a view of Appointments awaiting review and list unfinished treatment tasks with due at and assigned to.
  • Licensed Clinician: Find the clinician's Draft chart notes and show the linked Appointment before preparing a documentation review.
  • Clinical Governance Administrator: List Pending clinical privileges with verification evidence and the effective period for human verification.
  • Clinical Reviewer: Gather the permitted notes, measurements and specialty records for the selected visit without changing the appointment outcome.

Stays with a person

  • Proto works within configured permissions.
  • It cannot supply patient consent, verify a professional license from a label, decide clinical treatment or substitute for Clinical Reviewer's judgment.
  • A generated recommendation must not turn a read-only role into an editor.
  • Review the decision handoff before allowing an automated transition to Completed.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree the practice boundary

Choose an appointment session and representative follow-up work. Identify the source of patient identity, professional evidence and billing confirmation. Keep imaging, claims and detailed treatment planning in their separately agreed systems.

  2. Map records and identities

Match PatientNumber and source identifiers, resolve People.User, and review the Users self-reference provisioning behavior. Import patient and clinician references before visit evidence. Confirm a single-currency scope for financial amounts.

  3. Configure working access

Keep the clinical roles’ record permissions, assign account and receipt entry during setup, and prepare the working views and reports. Decide how Clinical Reviewer passes a decision to Clinical Coordinator without receiving general appointment edit access.

  4. Agree the handoffs

Walk through admission, follow-up, billing, lab and dispensing with the staff who perform them. Record who makes each decision, which evidence they inspect and who records the resulting status. Rehearse each handoff before relying on recurring automation.

  5. Rehearse the exceptions

Use an expired consent, Pending professional evidence, a rejected lab case and a repeated receipt reference. Check direct record permissions with ordinary users. Check that charges and tasks retain their own reviewed outcomes after a visit is completed.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Dental Practice Management for your business. Pilot a representative appointment session with patient consent evidence, attributed notes and an assigned follow-up task. Review the clinician identities and the coordinator-to-reviewer handoff before expanding.

What can I see in Practice Overview?

Practice Overview is the published custom page for appointment intake, current operational state distribution and recent lab and prescription evidence. Use an appointment queue or follow-up list to focus the next work session.

Does this include imaging, insurance claims or detailed treatment plans?

Use this app for appointments, associated care evidence, charges and follow-up. Connect the practice's imaging, insurance and treatment-planning systems as part of setup when those handoffs are needed.

How is patient consent recorded?

The coordinator keeps a signed document, purpose, version and relevant dates with each patient consent. Review the patient's summary alongside the consent for the care being planned; a current summary should agree with the signed evidence.

Can Clinical Reviewer edit the appointment?

Clinical Reviewer has configured read-only access to care records. The reviewer authorizes an eligible outcome through an agreed human handoff, and Clinical Coordinator records the appointment change. Decide where the decision evidence is retained before automating completion.

What does a verified clinical privilege mean?

Clinical Governance Administrator has reviewed the supporting professional evidence for the recorded privilege type and effective period. The governance administrator checks the issuing authority and effective period before marking the privilege Verified.

Does Tested contain a laboratory result?

No. Lab cases store processing state, case type, collected at and lab case number with Appointment. Result documents and clinical interpretation require the practice's agreed external handoff and evidence process.

Can the app send prescriptions to a pharmacy?

Prescription dispensations record Medication, lot number, Quantity, Unit, Appointment and authorized by. Electronic prescribing or pharmacy delivery requires a separate connection and its own acceptance evidence.

Does a confirmed payment settle a service charge?

Payments reference Patient and procedure charges references Appointment. Use the practice's billing system to match money to invoices or charges, and review receipt status separately.

Are follow-up reminders already automatic?

Assign follow-up work to a named person with a due date. If the practice wants patient reminders, agree the message, recipient and communication service during setup, then test delivery before using reminders in daily work.
