Cement distributors and depots
A cement distributor or depot operator buys packed and bulk cement from manufacturers, holds it in one or more warehouses and delivers it to dealers and project sites. The day-to-day work depends on accurate stock by lot, delivery routes that are planned and released before the trucks leave, and invoices and collections that match what each dealer actually received. Where the depot belongs to a group, each legal entity keeps its own stock ownership and books inside the shared warehouse. Returns of damaged bags need to reach the supplier as well as the dealer.
How Cement ERP is set up for you
Stock you can promise
Reservations claim specific stock for an order line, so two orders cannot promise the same bags.
Routes and proof of delivery
Routes are released with an operator and ordered stops, and each stop records accepted, refused, failed and damaged quantities.
Returns in both directions
Dealer returns and returns to the manufacturer are authorized separately, and each returned quantity gets its own disposition.
Cash and credit together
Dealer receipts are applied to invoices, and the next order's credit review sees the current exposure.

Start with one depot, the suppliers you buy from, your dealer list with credit limits and the current price list. Run a week of purchase receipts, dealer orders, routes and collections, including a damaged-bag return to the supplier. Reconcile stock, dealer balances and supplier balances before adding more depots.
