Multi-channel retailers
A retailer selling through several channels needs one canonical product and separate listing, order and settlement context for each channel. The team should decide who accepts demand, where stock is held and how money from the channel is reconciled. Keep the external order key alongside the local order so customer questions can follow the complete path.
How E-commerce ERP is set up for you
Product identity
Use Products as the canonical stocked item and channel products for an external SKU. Review unmapped lines before accepting their order.
Order ownership
Keep channel orders linked to sales orders and assign the account, entity and owner who can make the local commercial decision.
Physical stock
Check inventory positions and inventory reservations by warehouse before promising shipment. Pick tasks and fulfillment lines record what actually leaves.
After the sale
Follow Returns through authorization and inspection. Compare Invoices, payment transactions and processor settlement lines when the money does not match the order.

The team should decide who accepts demand, where stock is held and how money from the channel is reconciled. Keep the external order key alongside the local order so customer questions can follow the complete path.
Start with one active store or channel, a small group of mapped products and one warehouse. Import a representative received order with a mapped SKU and one that needs review. Let the Sales Manager decide the accepted order; then pick, ship and invoice the approved quantity. Use a return and a settlement variance to rehearse the exception path.
Agree the entity responsible for the sale and stock, the source of channel updates and the person who reconciles the processor period. Keep separate samples for a partial shipment and a rejected return. Check the daily queue in Business Overview with each role before expanding to more channels.
