What you can do
Delivery in daily work
Warehouse Manager assigns pick work from approved order scope and releases a route with operator, warehouse, transport reference and stops. Warehouse Operator records actual picked quantity and dispatch. The shipment line carries dispatched, title-transferred and delivered quantities separately. A route stop and delivery attempt preserve the visit evidence.
How the work is organized
- Pick bounded stock. Warehouse Operator records actual picked quantity against a reservation for an approved order line.
- Release the route. Warehouse Manager checks the assigned operator, source warehouse, load and planned stops before approval.
- Record the visit. Dispatch, customer acceptance and a later return each retain their own evidence and quantity.
What to agree during setup
Agree which warehouse supplies each route, who coordinates it and which operator records visits. Set the transport reference and stop order before release. Confirm when title transfers under the sales order, because dispatch and customer delivery may affect billing differently.
Rehearse an order with stock ready for only part of its line. Pick and dispatch that portion, record a customer refusal at one stop, and leave the unresolved quantity available for another attempt or authorized return. Sales Representative should see the remaining dealer promise.
Check the handoff on an actual case
For a dealer whose shipment is only partly accepted at the door, the attempt records accepted and refused line quantities. The unresolved portion remains visible. A second visit can address the remainder without issuing the original stock again. Returns trace the original shipment line and require their own authorization and disposition.
Warehouse Operator should compare the dispatched line with what the dealer accepted or refused at the door. A failed stop stays open until a recorded outcome resolves it. Warehouse Manager reviews a return against the original shipment line and chooses its physical disposition before stock or credit changes.
If the dealer accepts only part of a dispatched line, record that actual quantity in the visit result. The original dispatch remains the stock event; a new attempt addresses the unresolved portion. Sales Representative can explain the gap between shipped and accepted quantity without promising that the first route completed the order.
