Manufacturers operating across sites
Energy reviews across factory locations depend on consistent interpretation of local records. A site has its own timezone and meters, while tariffs belong to the site where the energy is consumed. Energy Manager and Cost Analyst need those links to remain clear when they compare operating periods across locations.
How Factory Energy Management is set up for you
Local meter identity
Maintain meter numbers against the correct site and agree how similar equipment labels are distinguished. A familiar label at one factory should not cause observations to be attributed to another location.
Actual operating time
Review interval boundaries using the site's timezone convention. Check the source dates during setup so the review reflects the local operating period, even when the person examining it works elsewhere.
Site rate basis
Match the meter's site to the applicable tariff and retain the unit during comparison. Resolve ambiguous effective periods before including a calculated cost in a cross-site discussion.

Choose a site whose meter register and tariff history are readily available. Admin confirms the site location and timezone, then checks the meter links with Meter Operator. Energy Manager reviews consumption from an ordinary operating period and an interval that needs correction.
Add another location only after the first review can be explained from its records. Use a tariff change as the next rehearsal case. Cost Analyst should be able to show the applicable rate period for each site without mixing units or treating differently bounded intervals as directly comparable.
Review site events alongside consumption where an outage or maintenance window affects interpretation. The purpose of the initial cycle is to agree a repeatable local review before expanding the reporting scope. Features to start with
Metering and Readings
Give every observation a known meter, a reading time and an explicit quality assessment.
Tariffs and Cost Review
Compare accepted energy quantities with site rates that apply to the same unit and period.
Energy Intervals
Review consumed energy within clear meter intervals before using it in cost or allocation analysis.
Roles on the team
- Admin
- Maintains application access and the site and meter foundation.
- Energy Manager
- Reviews meter evidence and authorizes the operating response and recovery review.
- Meter Operator
- Maintains meter observations and supplies the evidence Energy Manager uses to review consumption intervals.
- Maintenance Coordinator
- Assigns site maintenance and authorizes the work before it starts.
- Cost Analyst
- Reviews effective energy rates and allocates metered energy to production references.
