What you can do
Work from the field record
A harvest record links to one crop cycle and names the person who accepts it. Record the date, measured quantity, unit and grade on that record. The harvest review reads the live harvest row and resolves the linked cycle before acceptance.
How the work is organized
- Identify the work. Start from the harvest row linked to a crop cycle.
- Record the event. Record the measured quantity, date, unit and grade on that row.
- Review the result. Harvest Reviewer reopens the live row and checks the cycle and measurements before acceptance.
Agree the units and grade vocabulary used by your team, and decide how the accepted-by person is recorded. The review checks that the date is real, the quantity is finite and nonnegative, and the unit and grade are present. Field observations remain scouting evidence rather than harvest totals.
What to agree during setup
Agree the unit and grade vocabulary and who is recorded as the person accepting a harvest. Harvest Reviewer should use the current entry when a value changes. Keep the linked People and Users records current so the named operator or reviewer can be found during the rehearsal.
Check the handoff on an actual case
For a field entering harvest, open the linked cycle and its harvest record. Compare the recorded date with the field work, inspect the unit and grade, then ask the reviewer to accept the current record. A later correction should return to the live harvest entry for another review.
Change the harvest quantity before review and ask Harvest Reviewer to inspect the new value. Compare it with the cycle, date, unit and grade; keep scouting measurements separate. Open the live record again after a deliberate change and agree who corrects it before the next step.
The crop cycle may carry an actual harvest date, while the harvest record carries the measured yield. Compare the dates, but take the quantity and unit from the harvest itself. If either changes before acceptance, Harvest Reviewer should recheck the live record and its linked cycle.
