What you can do

Start with the case

Each authorized operation has a stable operation key and expected case revision. Its receipt records the action, outcome, occurrence time and any external reference or effect references. An unresolved receipt keeps an uncertain result visible until the linked case and source response can be compared.

A receipt identifies an authorized operation by its stable key and expected case revision. It separates a request from the effect confirmed by a provider. Pending means the outcome is still unresolved; a completed result needs a confirmed effect. Failed and needs review results let the Operations Manager investigate without issuing a duplicate operation. The external reference and effect references support that comparison when they are available.

A coordinator may repeat a restoration request after a slow response. The same operation key should lead back to the earlier receipt. The manager first inspects its linked case, evidence and attachments, then compares the provider response. A changed case revision or a conflicting reference calls for review before a new action.

How the work is organized

  • Source. Identify the organization and service case before entering the next fact.
  • Responsibility. Keep the owner and reviewer visible at each handoff.
  • Result. Use the case status or receipt result to show what has actually happened.

What to agree during setup

Agree how operation keys are generated and how provider references are verified. A repeated request must find the existing receipt instead of creating a second effect. Identify who may request reconciliation for a scoped case and how failed external calls are followed up.

Agree who supplies stable operation keys and how the external provider reference can be checked. Decide who may request reconciliation for a case in their organization. Rehearse a repeated request, a confirmed effect and an uncertain response. The team should know where to record a failure reason and when to ask for an independent decision before a corrective action.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Start with a pending receipt and compare its expected revision to the case. Read the linked evidence and attachments, then compare the external reference with the provider response. Record Completed only for confirmed effects; send a conflicting or incomplete result to needs review with a reason.

Take a Pending receipt with a parent case and expected revision. The Operations Manager reads the case, evidence and attachments before comparing the external reference with the provider result. Mark a confirmed effect Completed only after the persisted records agree. Keep an incomplete or conflicting result in needs review with a reason. Repeat the same key to check that it points to the earlier receipt.

What your team sees

  • Unresolved Operation Receipts — Find pending, failed and review-needed results by key, action and case.
  • Unresolved Receipts Queue — Inspect the failure reason and time before reconciling a result.

Follow the work through

Follow case response and evidence review. Use reconciliation when an outcome remains unresolved.
