Ask Proto for the current case

Use Proto to prepare and inspect contractor engagement work.

It can

  • Engagement Owner: Ask for draft assignments with effective dates and unresolved actions.
  • Compliance Reviewer: Ask for pending observations and unverified documents by source engagement.
  • Independent Approver: Ask for a summary of the current revision, evidence and pending decision.
  • HR Coordinator: Ask for submitted weekly timesheets for contractor employees.

Stays with a person

  • A person must inspect the evidence and decide whether an engagement can proceed.
  • Proto can gather linked records and point out incomplete work, but the named reviewer records the verdict on the source revision.
  • Check the underlying record before acting on a summary.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the operating scope

Select an organization, worker population, owner and reviewer for a pilot.

  2. Prepare core records

Add Organizations, People, ContractorProfiles and Employees before creating engagements.

  3. Enter a live case

Record the assignment’s scope, rate unit, agreed rate and dates, then add a compliance observation and evidence reference.

  4. Rehearse the decision

Have a separate approver inspect the source revision and record a verdict; repeat with a returned case.

  5. Review follow-up

Assign an unresolved action and verify that its owner, due date and resolution are visible.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure HRMS for Contractors for your business. Begin with one organization, one worker, an engagement owner and an independent reviewer.

What is the main record?

The contractor engagement holds the organization, employee, owner, profile, scope, agreed rate and dates.

How are contractor rates recorded?

Enter the agreed rate and choose Hour, Day or Deliverable as the rate unit on the engagement.

Where does supporting evidence go?

Evidence Documents link a dated reference to the source engagement and records who verified it.

How is a compliance issue followed up?

Create a Follow Up Actions record against the engagement with an assignee, due date and resolution.

Who decides whether an engagement is approved?

The Independent Approver records a Review Decisions verdict for the source revision after inspecting the engagement and evidence.

Can I see the history of a status change?

A State History entry can hold the source, actor, earlier and later status, revision and occurrence date. Ask the team to record a transition before relying on that trail.

Can I track current assignments?

Active assignments and the overview page show engagement state, effective dates and unresolved actions.

Does worker time appear alongside the assignment?

The engagement links to Employees; weekly Timesheets and Time Entries belong to the employee record.
