Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Define the workforce

Agree on employee IDs, departments, positions, locations, managers and payroll calendars. Check the current employee register with HR Business Partner.

  2. Rehearse time and leave

Enter a weekly timesheet with regular and overtime entries and a dated leave request. Have the named approver review each.

  3. Set up learning

Add the safety courses relevant to the pilot roles, enroll a worker and retain one completion record with an expiry date.

  4. Run payroll review

Prepare a period, inspect statement lines and totals, obtain the human approval and reconcile the payment outcome.

  5. Expand the population

Add recruiting, onboarding and performance records after the first employee and payroll cycle is dependable.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure HRMS for Factory Workers for your business. Pilot one department, one payroll calendar, a representative worker and a complete weekly time-to-pay cycle.

How do workers record their hours?

They add dated time entries under a weekly timesheet and submit the week to its named approver.

Can we distinguish regular and overtime hours?

Yes. Each dated time entry has a category for Regular, Overtime, double time or on call.

How are leave requests reviewed?

An employee enters a leave type and dates, then the named approver reviews the submitted request with the employee's balance.

Where do safety training records live?

Courses hold the catalog, course enrollments hold the worker's assignment, and training records retain dated completion and expiry information.

How do we inspect a payroll period?

A payroll run identifies the calendar and dates. Pay statements and their lines explain each worker's amounts before the run is approved and recorded as paid.

Can we follow a candidate into onboarding?

Requisitions, applications and offers record the recruiting path. Employee records, onboarding checklists and tasks carry the worker's start preparations.

Who sees pay information?

What happens when a worker changes position?

Keep the current position on the employee record and record the dated change in employment history so the earlier position and manager remain visible.

Can this work across locations?

Employee records and positions link to locations, while payroll calendars carry entity, country and currency. Start with one location and reconcile its period before adding another.
