What you can do
Property staffing in daily work
A staffing assignment ties one employee to a hotel, an organization, a service date and an owner. Property Operations Manager can see whether the period is planned, assigned, worked, reviewed or closed. Hours, the eligible charge pool and the allocation weight stay on that assignment. They provide the context for a later service charge check, while the named owner answers questions about who worked and where.
At a resort with several outlets, the property name alone is too broad to identify a worked period. Check the employee and service date together before changing an assignment. A property move or corrected hours should be visible to the person reviewing the current record.
How the work is organized
- Coverage. Property Operations Manager selects the hotel and organization, then links the employee and owner to the service date.
- Worked period. The owner records hours and charge inputs on the same assignment before marking the period worked.
- Change trail. A recorded status change can be inspected with its actor and source revision when colleagues question the period.
What to agree during setup
Agree how property codes identify hotels and who may own a period. Check that the chosen organization owns the hotel and that the employee is the person who worked. Decide when a period is ready for service charge review. Keep a clear source reference for any amount supplied outside the app.
Rehearse a service date that crosses a payroll cutoff. The Property Operations Manager should be able to find the correct employee and hotel without relying on the payroll period as a substitute for the service date. Ask the Service Charge Reviewer to inspect the current assignment after a correction.
Check the handoff on an actual case
For a weekend restaurant shift, Property Operations Manager links the employee to the resort and records the service date. After work, the owner records hours and the charge inputs, then marks the assignment worked. The reviewer compares that exact period with its allocation line and external confirmation. If the hours change, the owner records the correction and sends the current assignment for another check.
The handoff succeeds when the reviewer can name the hotel, employee, owner and date from the assignment, then explain which amount is under review. Keep a follow-up assigned when a confirmation differs. A closed period should have its review decision and any outstanding difference resolved.
