Prepare the next handoff with Proto

Use Proto to prepare and check people-work handoffs.

It can

  • Recruiter: Show open requisitions and applications waiting at the next stage.
  • HR Business Partner: List employee changes awaiting review; ask Admin for the onboarding task queue.
  • Employee: Find the submitted timesheet and leave request for the current period.
  • Payroll Admin: Compare a pay run with its statement periods and approved time.

Stays with a person

  • A suggestion is not an approval.
  • The responsible person checks the underlying record, resolves missing details and records the decision using their permitted role.
  • Proto should identify the employee and period it used, and should ask before changing a record that affects pay or access. Review roles before enabling assistant access.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for HRMS + PM for IT Companies.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure HRMS + PM for IT Companies for your business. Begin with one department, its active employees, an open requisition and one weekly time and payroll cycle.

Can employees enter their own time?

Yes. The Employee role can enter timesheets and dated time entries. Agree who approves submitted weeks before payroll uses them.

How are leave requests reviewed?

A leave request carries the employee, leave type, dates, status and approver. Review the balance as of the relevant date and record the decision.

Can a hiring manager see candidates?

Yes. Hiring Manager can read applications, candidates, interviews and requisitions. Recruiter has record entry access across the hiring pipeline.

What happens after an offer is accepted?

Use the candidate and offer references to prepare the employee record and onboarding checklist. Assign individual tasks with a due date and employee owner.

How are payroll periods separated?

A pay run belongs to a payroll calendar and has period start, period end and pay date. Each pay statement links an employee to that run.

Can teams work across countries?

Employee records carry country, entity and currency. Calendars, leave types, benefit plans and tax jurisdictions also carry applicable country context. Rehearse one entity before extending the setup.

Where do reviews and training live?

Performance cycles, goals and reviews hold review work. Courses, enrollments and training records hold learning assignments and completion history.

What should I connect before going live?

Decide how identity, payment, tax filing, offer signature and learning results will enter or leave the app. Test each connection with a named owner.

How do I check access?

Use the configured roles and rehearse with an Employee, Recruiter, Hiring Manager, HR Business Partner and Payroll Admin. Verify both allowed and denied actions.
