Prepare work with Proto

Ask for help preparing records and checking handoffs while people keep decisions.

It can

  • Recruiter: Show applications for an open requisition and identify interviews still awaiting a recommendation.
  • HR Business Partner: Compare an accepted offer with employee placement and dated hire history.
  • Payroll Admin: Gather submitted time, approved leave and pay run totals for review.
  • L&D Admin: Find course assignments due and training records near expiration.

Stays with a person

  • People decide headcount, compensation, leave, review release and payroll approval.
  • Proto can prepare the record and point to inconsistencies, but an authorized person must review the source, decide and retain evidence.
  • External payment and filing confirmation must come from the responsible system.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Define ownership

Name the people, recruiting, learning and payroll owners; agree who approves openings, offers, leave, time and pay.

  2. Prepare foundations

Check departments, positions, pay grades, entities, locations, calendars, leave types and access.

  3. Load a pilot population

Match employee identities and manager references; verify hire dates, status and payroll assignment.

  4. Rehearse live work

Run a requisition, accepted offer, onboarding checklist, leave request, timesheet, payroll period and review cycle with real owners.

  5. Reconcile and expand

Compare registers, statements and training records with source evidence, then add more teams and entities.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for HRMS with Employee Engagement.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure HRMS with Employee Engagement for your business. Pilot one employee population, one opening and one payroll calendar before expanding.

Where should employee data begin?

Start with departments, positions, locations, pay grades and payroll calendars. Then check each employee's identity, manager and current placement.

Can employees submit their own leave?

Employee can enter leave requests. The assigned approver reviews a submitted request against dates, type and balance before recording a decision.

How are weekly hours reviewed?

Employee enters dated time entries under a weekly timesheet. The assigned approver reviews the total and categories before approval.

Can we track an opening through an offer?

Yes. Requisitions connect to applications, interviews and offers. Keep each application tied to its candidate and opening.

What happens after an offer is accepted?

HR Business Partner checks employee placement and the dated hire event. Onboarding checklists and tasks identify the work needed for the start.

How does payroll stay tied to a period?

Each run uses a payroll calendar, period and pay date. Pay statements and their lines connect employee amounts to that run.

Can we record performance conversations?

Goals and reviews belong to a performance cycle. Review status distinguishes work in progress, submission, calibration, release and acknowledgement.

How are training completions kept?

Course enrollments track assignments and progress. Training records hold verified completion, provider, certificate reference and expiration date.

What should connect to other systems?

Plan connections for job boards, interview calendars, offer signatures, learning results, payment confirmation and tax filing acknowledgements as needed.
