What you can do

Follow the learner's case from assignment

An enrollment links a learner owner, course, organization, assigned date, and current status. The number and name help people identify the case in daily work. The Learning Management Operator prepares it, adds the relevant progress and evidence, and submits it for validation before independent review. The Enrollments Workspace brings the status board, case history, progress strip, pending decision, and operation trace into the same working surface.

How the work is organized

Each learner can have more than one enrollment. Keep course-specific progress on its own enrollment so completion for one offering is not mistaken for another. The revision identifies which version is being reviewed. When a reviewer returns a case, the operator should make the correction against that case and preserve the earlier decision and status trail.

  • Use one case per assignment. Keep the course, owner, and organization explicit on the enrollment.
  • Submit a coherent revision. Check progress lines and documents before changing the status to Submitted.
  • Follow the status history. Read the recorded transitions and reasons when a case has been corrected or superseded.

What to agree during setup

Agree how the team allocates case numbers, who owns enrollment preparation, and what evidence is sufficient for each course. Rehearse a normal completion and a returned case. Decide who resolves an organization mismatch and who can alter an assigned course after progress has already been entered. Define the business meaning of the completed date and delivery reference before they appear in reports.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A learner is assigned a course and begins recording progress. Before submission, the operator notices that the course belongs to a different organization. The case should be corrected while still in Draft, with the intended owner and course checked against the catalog. A reviewer seeing only the learner’s name cannot safely infer the right course or organization.

For a second case, the progress is complete but a reviewer returns the evidence. The operator opens the enrollment history, reads the reason, assigns follow-up work, and submits a corrected revision. The earlier review should remain identifiable by its revision. The team can then explain what changed without treating the returned decision as an approval.

What your team sees

  • Enrollment Status List — Enrollment number, course, learner owner, assigned date, revision, and status together.
  • My Enrollments — Cases assigned to the current owner for daily preparation.
  • Enrollment Board — The same cases arranged around their current status.

Follow the work through

See enrollment to delivery and review the access model. Use the history when checking a correction or a second review.
