Discrete production teams
Discrete production teams can start with a named machine and the work performed during an agreed period. Production Planner establishes the window and ideal cycle, while Production Operator captures run minutes and unit counts. Quality Reviewer uses the selected observation and supporting evidence to assess coverage before the team discusses output acceptance.
How OEE Tracking Dashboard is set up for you
Machine-based review
Keep the resource visible in the planning discussion. A machine's daily capacity and its readiness help the planner prepare work, while the production window supplies the time basis for the OEE review.
Count discipline
Agree the counting unit before comparing runs. Total and good units must cover the same observation boundary, and production logs keep good and scrap quantities attached to the work order and operator.
Lot acceptance
Use batch disposition to keep Pending, Held and Rejected output visible. The accepted-output action refuses Held or Rejected batches and receives eligible output once after the review handoff.

Quality Reviewer uses the selected observation and supporting evidence to assess coverage before the team discusses output acceptance.
Choose a machine that produces a familiar item and rehearse a morning run with its customer order, work order and material lot. Capture a production log, an observation and an unplanned stop. Ask the reviewer to identify the exact observation used for the coverage conclusion and explain whether it covers the agreed window.
Then rehearse an output hold and a successful release using separate eligible evidence. Check the finished balance and the work-order completion scope. Keep the pilot small enough that the team can reconstruct every decision from the records. Expand to another resource after planners and operators use the same timing and count conventions. Set these conventions in [implementation](/oee-tracking-dashboard/implementation) and follow [planning and release](/oee-tracking-dashboard/processes/plan-and-release).
Features to start with
Production execution
Release eligible work and retain the operator evidence behind production output.
Material and output control
Follow material lot consumption through the decision to receive accepted finished output.
Production windows
Establish the resource and time basis before comparing production effectiveness.
Roles on the team
- Production Planner
- Owns production setup, planning and assigned operational work.
- Production Operator
- Captures assigned production work and evidence.
- Quality Reviewer
- Reviews evidence and authorizes eligible domain outcomes.
- Manager
- Operational owner for release-readiness review and escalations across production capture and accepted-output handoffs.
- Admin
- Administrator for user-to-person mapping and controlled production setup.
