Packaging operations
Packaging operations need a clear counting basis when teams discuss production effectiveness. A run measured in individual packs should use an ideal cycle and observation counts that refer to those packs. Production Planner establishes the planned period, and Production Operator records the run evidence against the selected window before the next operating handoff.
How OEE Tracking Dashboard is set up for you
Stable window basis
Name the resource and period so operators can identify the run being reviewed. Agree the planned minutes before capturing observations, especially when a break or product change affects how the period is understood.
Useful stop explanations
Record stop times and an agreed reason code. Planned and unplanned classification helps the team discuss the operating cause, while review of overlapping intervals prevents a misleading downtime total.
Output decisions
Keep the good-unit observation separate from batch disposition. Quality Reviewer assesses accepted output, and the authorized executor receives eligible finished stock through the guarded release action.
Packaging operations need a clear counting basis when teams discuss production effectiveness. A run measured in individual packs should use an ideal cycle and observation counts that refer to those packs. Production Planner establishes the planned period, and Production Operator records the run evidence against the selected window before the next operating handoff.
Begin with a familiar packaging item on a selected resource. Use the item's unit consistently in the work order and the team's observation convention. Rehearse a stop during the window and ask the operator to explain whether the observation is incremental or a complete-period reading.
Bring the selected observation to the coverage discussion with the window's planned basis. Record any unresolved question in the review notes, then revisit it after the operator provides clarification. Test a repeated production command and a repeated accepted-output command so the team can distinguish a retry from a new event.
Use [capture run evidence](/oee-tracking-dashboard/processes/capture-run-evidence) as the shift rehearsal. Agree any machine-counter connection separately under [integrations](/oee-tracking-dashboard/integrations) before using imported readings for the operating review.
Features to start with
Production execution
Release eligible work and retain the operator evidence behind production output.
Material and output control
Follow material lot consumption through the decision to receive accepted finished output.
Production windows
Establish the resource and time basis before comparing production effectiveness.
Roles on the team
