What you can do
Make the evidence behind a review identifiable
Quality Reviewer needs to know which production window and observation a conclusion covers. A review snapshot connects those records with the reviewer, review time, coverage result and notes. Production Planner or Production Operator records the agreed conclusion so the next discussion can start from the same evidence.
Coverage can be Yes or No. An incomplete result gives the team a clear place to explain what still needs checking. A complete result means the reviewer has assessed the agreed scope of the window. Batch disposition and acceptance remain separate, so a coverage conclusion cannot substitute for the output-release decision.
How the work is organized
- Select the evidence. Quality Reviewer identifies the window and observation being examined. Production Planner checks the relationship before recording the conclusion, particularly when the window has readings from different points in the run.
- Record the conclusion. The snapshot includes the named reviewer and review time. Notes explain unresolved timing or quantity questions in language that the operator can act on during the next handoff.
- Resolve coverage gaps. Production Operator supplies clarification and Production Planner brings it back to the reviewer. The team records the subsequent conclusion against the evidence actually reviewed instead of treating an earlier note as current approval.
What to agree during setup
Define what complete coverage means for the pilot. It may require the team to reconcile the period boundaries, identify the selected count reading and explain stops. Agree who records the reviewer’s conclusion and who may correct a wrongly linked observation.
Also agree how a later correction affects an earlier snapshot. Preserve the meaning of the earlier review and make the next reviewed evidence clear. Decide how Manager receives unresolved issues that cannot be settled before the operating handoff. Access should let reviewers inspect the evidence without requiring broad editing rights over production records.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Use Press A morning with an observation taken before the last part of the window. Quality Reviewer finds that the reading cannot yet support a complete-period conclusion. Production Planner records coverage as No, names the reviewer and notes that the final count needs confirmation.
Production Operator then provides the final reading. The reviewer identifies the intended observation and examines the downtime intervals against the same window. The planner records the new conclusion with the review time and explanatory notes. Finally, open a Held batch from the associated production discussion. Confirm that a complete coverage conclusion has not changed that batch’s disposition or created a stock receipt. This separates review evidence from authority over accepted output.
What your team sees
- Review Coverage Gaps — Incomplete review conclusions with the selected observation, reviewer and notes.
- OEE Observations — The run and unit evidence used to resolve a coverage question.
Follow the work through
Use review window coverage to rehearse the discussion. Continue to accept output and receive stock when production evidence is ready for the separate acceptance decision.
What it keeps track of
Data model- OEE review snapshots
- Reviewer coverage snapshots linking a window to its observation.
- OEE observations
- Run minutes and unit counts observed for a planned production window.
- Planned production windows
- Planned production windows per resource with planned minutes and ideal cycle.
- People
- App users with their production role titles.
Who uses it
Permissions- Quality Reviewer
- , Production Planner, Production Operator, Manager.
- The reviewer assesses coverage; the planner or operator records the conclusion under the agreed access arrangement and escalates unresolved evidence.
