Ask Proto for the next useful view

Ask Proto to help prepare encounter records and review handoffs.

It can

  • Clinical Coordinator: Find scheduled encounters, check the patient and clinician link, and prepare a list of visits awaiting review.
  • Licensed Clinician: Find assigned care tasks, list encounter notes still in Draft and check specimen progress.
  • Clinical Reviewer: Summarize the encounter records and linked evidence for a named patient visit.
  • Clinical Governance Administrator: List pending privilege checks and active patient-clinician assignments.

Stays with a person

  • A person checks identity, signed consent, clinician verification evidence, clinical conclusions and billing decisions.
  • Proto can prepare the records and point out missing information for that review, but the named role records the decision.
  • Access follows the configured roles and the team's operating rules.
  • Usage depends on the team's selected plan and its actual agent activity.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure OT / Surgery Scheduling for your business. Pilot one clinical service with a coordinator, clinician, reviewer and governance administrator, and rehearse a visit from booking through follow-up.

Who schedules patient visits?

Clinical Coordinator creates and manages encounters with a patient, clinician, scheduled date and visit type. The status shows whether the visit is scheduled, arrived, in progress, awaiting review, completed or cancelled.

Can we keep a returning patient's visit history?

Yes. Create a new encounter against the existing patient for each later visit. Check the patient number before entry so the clinical record remains connected to the same identity.

How is consent recorded?

A consent record carries the patient, purpose, version, signed date, expiry date, document and status. Your team should agree who obtains the signed document and who reviews expired or withdrawn consent before care.

Who verifies clinician privileges?

Clinical Governance Administrator manages the privilege record, checks the license and verification evidence, and records the verification decision. The record also carries effective dates and a current status.

Where do notes and observations go?

Clinical notes and observations attach to the encounter. Notes identify the author and signed state; observations identify the metric, value, unit, observed date and recorder.

How are specimens tracked?

A specimen belongs to an encounter and carries its type, collection date, accession number and processing status. Use the accession number when coordinating with a laboratory.

Can a clinician assign follow-up work?

Licensed Clinician can create a care task for a patient, select a person responsible and set a due date. The team can track Open, in progress, Escalated, Completed and Cancelled work.

How are charges and payments related?

Charges attach to encounters and payment records attach to patients. Agree a reference convention with your billing process so staff can reconcile each collection to the intended service.

What should we check before wider use?

Rehearse patient identity, visit status changes, signed consent, privilege verification, documentation review, open tasks and the billing handoff with the staff who own those decisions.
