Ask Proto about the next step

Use Proto to configure and review hospitality work.

It can

  • Property Manager: Show confirmed arrivals whose unit is still Cleaning.
  • Front Desk Agent: Prepare the next requested stay for capacity and overlap review.
  • Finance Officer: Show pending payments beside posted and draft charges for a reservation.
  • Operations Reviewer: Collect the linked records needed for a final folio decision.

Stays with a person

  • A person confirms a stay, verifies money received, approves a final folio and accepts a cleaned unit.
  • Proto can prepare the relevant records and point to exceptions; those decisions stay with the authorized team member.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for OTA Channel Manager.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure OTA Channel Manager for your business. Pilot one unit, one guest stay, one service task and one guest account.

Who confirms a reservation?

The Front Desk Agent acts after the dates, party size and unit capacity have been checked. The current stay state and overlapping nights matter to that decision.

How are guests connected to stays?

A reservation references a booking party and a unit. The stay record carries arrival, departure, guest count, nightly rate and status.

Can staff follow room readiness?

Yes. Units show Available, Occupied, Cleaning or Maintenance. Cleaning work can be assigned as a service task, and inspection determines when the unit returns to Available.

How are service requests handled?

Create a service task for the unit and reservation, choose Cleaning, Maintenance or guest service, assign a person and follow the work to Completed.

What happens to guest charges?

A folio charge is attached to a reservation. Finance reviews its amount and can move it from Draft to Posted or Voided.

When is a payment counted as received?

Finance checks the payment reference and outside receipt evidence before marking a Pending payment Confirmed. Refunded remains a separate state.

Can restaurant and spa bookings be recorded?

Yes. Record the outlet type, name, start time and guest count against the reservation, then confirm the arrangement with the outlet team.

How does checkout work?

The final folio is reviewed against confirmed payments or an acknowledged outstanding account. After checkout, the unit moves to Cleaning before inspection returns it to Available.

Where should I begin the pilot?

Use a real requested stay with a rate plan, service request, draft charge and pending payment. Rehearse both the successful path and a conflicting booking.
