What you can do
Operations overview in daily work
The Operations Overview brings active and accepted packages, pending review decisions and failed operations into KPI cards. Charts compare planned and actual task hours by project and show overdue open tasks by owner. The full-width exception queue is paginated and links back to exact source records. It gives a production lead a way to move from a signal to the package, task, decision or receipt behind it.
How the work is organized
- Source. Start with the production, package or person named on the record, then follow its explicit references.
- Decision. Keep the latest status and revision visible to the person responsible for the next action.
- Evidence. Open the child records before concluding that the work is ready for review or complete.
What to agree during setup
Agree who reviews the overview each day and what counts as an actionable exception. For task hours, use the same recording practice across packages so project comparisons mean the same thing. Keep package owners current: the overdue chart groups tasks by their parent package owner. Decide which review outcomes call for the coordinator to revise evidence and which need the reviewer to reconcile an operation.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A production lead sees overdue preparation work on the chart. They open its task, inspect the parent package and contact its owner. In the same review, a failed operation appears in the queue. The lead follows the source link to the receipt and checks its expected revision before deciding whether to retry or ask the reviewer to investigate. The overview helps the team route work; the record remains the place to make and verify the change.
Use the overview at the beginning of a production check-in and return to it after changes are made. A package can be active while one of its tasks is late, and an accepted package can still have an operation receipt that needs investigation. Follow each signal to its source rather than clearing the meeting agenda from a chart alone. When planned and actual hours differ, inspect the task lines and the package budget before changing scope. Keep the reviewer involved when an exception relates to a previous decision or an uncertain operation outcome.
