What you can do
Production projects in daily work
Project Coordinator starts from the Organizations and Projects records. An organization establishes the production company and its operating currency and time zone. The project identifies the film or episodic production, its contact and address, and the organization it belongs to. A package then links to that project through Counterparty. This chain keeps the team from mixing similarly named shoots across companies.
How the work is organized
- Source. Start with the production, package or person named on the record, then follow its explicit references.
- Decision. Keep the latest status and revision visible to the person responsible for the next action.
- Evidence. Open the child records before concluding that the work is ready for review or complete.
What to agree during setup
Check that the project and organization agree before assigning work. For a series with several episodes, use the project identity your team agrees to operate against; do not treat a label alone as proof of scope. Review the contact, address and eligibility note with the production manager before the coordinator creates packages. When two productions have similar names, the codes help people select the intended record.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A coordinator planning a location shoot chooses its production project, then creates a work package with a subject and owner. If the wrong project was selected, correct the link while the package is being planned and revisit related shoot days. The reviewer should be able to open the package, follow the project link, and confirm that the evidence belongs to the same production. An auditor can trace the production company without relying on a filename or informal nickname.
When the same partner works on more than one production, confirm the organization code and project code together. The project contact gives the coordinator a person to reach when package details are unclear. A production address should be checked before a location is copied into a shoot day; the project address and the actual shoot location can represent different places. Keep the package attached to its chosen production throughout review so reports group its hours with the right work. If a coordinator discovers a wrong link, inspect every child task, attachment and shoot day before the reviewer makes a decision.
