What you can do
Review and evidence in daily work
Review decisions record the subject type, subject reference, reviewer, decision date, decision and notes. They let a service reviewer trace a configuration line that passed its submission check. Operation receipts record the attempted action, reference, actor, date and result. Deliverable approval, milestone invoicing and payment receipt actions create receipts at their respective trigger points.
Record attachments keep file names, links, kinds, uploaders and parent references with the operating records. A contract or statement of work can sit beside a client or engagement, while a receipt can support an expense. The parent table name and record ID are explicit, so the reviewer can locate evidence without treating an attachment as a decision.
How the work is organized
- Decision. Use the subject reference and reviewer to trace a recorded service approval.
- Operation result. Check the receipt’s operation type, result and source reference.
- Linked file. Match the attachment’s parent table and record ID before opening its URL.
What to agree during setup
- Reviewer responsibility. Assign who investigates failed operation results and records a correction.
- Reference convention. Agree how subject references and attachment parent IDs are entered.
- File handling. Decide where linked files are stored and who maintains access.
Agree a representative implementation for rehearsal. Use the same client and engagement across delivery, service review and billing. Keep the person who enters a record distinct from the person who makes the business decision when the team requires that separation. Make the ownership rule clear before a busy billing period, because a status alone does not explain who should take the next action.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Submit a configuration line with an invalid guard and follow its Failed operation receipt. The reviewer should find the source line from its reference, correct the input and retain the earlier result. Submit a valid line and compare the new receipt with the review decision. For a milestone invoice, inspect the Milestone Invoice receipt separately. Attach a supporting document to the correct parent record and open its link as the reviewer. Check that the attachment’s kind and uploader are visible.
The reviewer should open the source record behind each amount and compare it with the engagement. If a correction is needed, keep the earlier outcome visible and explain the new one in the appropriate decision or operation record. A manager should be able to identify the client, the responsible person and the next action without reconstructing the history from messages.
