Ask Proto about your work

Use Proto to prepare records and inspect exceptions with a human decision at each gate.

It can

  • Operator: Find assigned open orders and the evidence needed before review.
  • Reviewer: Compare a report line's parent, accession and study identity with its order revision.
  • Radiologist: Show the approved revision, report lines and receipt context before release.

Stays with a person

  • A human reviewer decides whether to approve or return a revision.
  • The authorized radiologist decides whether to sign and release a report.
  • External acknowledgements must be checked against their source receipts.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Set the facility context

Confirm organizations, active modalities, staff identities, patients and consent scope.

  2. Prepare an order

Enter a planned case with patient, modality, owner and authorized radiologist, then check the calendar and open list.

  3. Record the examination

Match the accession number, DICOM study identifier and PACS reference to the completed case.

  4. Review and release

Prepare report lines, record an independent decision on the revision and confirm the radiologist’s release with receipt evidence.

  5. Rehearse an exception

Return a report, reconcile an uncertain execution result and close an assigned follow-up.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Radiology Information System for your business. Start with a facility, modality and a representative imaging order.

What identifies an imaging order?

The order carries its number, patient reference, organization, modality, owner and planned date. Accession and study identifiers connect later work to the same examination.

How does scheduling work?

The operator confirms the planned date and modality, then moves the order from Ordered to Scheduled. The calendar and open order list show that work.

How is the examination linked to images?

The order and report lines carry the accession number, DICOM study identifier and PACS reference. Compare them before review or release.

Who reviews the report?

Radiology Information System Reviewer records an independent decision against the exact order revision, with reason and evidence reference.

Who releases the report?

The authorized radiologist signs the independently reviewed report for the named study. Keep confirmed external receipt evidence with the release operation.

What happens when a report is returned?

The reviewer records a returned decision. The operator corrects the report and submits the successor revision for review while earlier evidence stays visible.

How are missing documents handled?

Attach the document to its source order, identify the verifier and use follow-up work with an assignee and due date until the issue is resolved.

How do we investigate an uncertain external result?

Inspect the operation run, attempt and step receipt. Keep Failed, Unknown or reconciliation required results available for review.

Can analysts edit patient records?

Read Only Analyst has authorized summary access without record edits. Apply the organization’s patient access scope to detailed information.
