Prepare the next care review with Proto

Use Proto to prepare patient, device and care work for human review.

It can

  • Care Coordinator: Show patients awaiting consent and encounters awaiting review with their assigned clinician.
  • Device Coordinator: Check a device identifier and patient association before enrollment.
  • Monitoring Clinician: Prepare questionable readings and assigned care tasks for review.
  • Billing Specialist: Summarize approved charges by encounter and confirmed payment references by patient.

Stays with a person

  • A clinician decides the care response, signs documentation and confirms task completion.
  • Proto can prepare linked records and surface exceptions, but the responsible person reviews identity, consent, privilege, assignment and clinical context before acting.
  • Billing approval also stays with the authorized person.

FAQ

Scope, rollout and pricing for Remote Patient Monitoring.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Remote Patient Monitoring for your business. Start with one care team, a small patient roster, current consent and a known device feed.

What identifies a patient?

The patient record carries a patient number, display name, contact phone and assigned clinician. Reconcile those details to your enrollment source before importing devices or encounters.

How is consent checked?

The team checks the patient's current signed consent for the relevant purpose, version and effective dates before the encounter proceeds.

How does a device connect to a patient?

A device enrollment stores its identifier, metric type and dates against the selected patient. Incoming readings link to that enrollment.

What does a questionable reading mean?

It flags a measurement for quality review. The clinician decides what care action, if any, follows after checking patient and device context.

Who can review a reading?

The care workflow checks the acting person's staff identity, current verified review privilege and active patient care assignment.

How are encounter measurements different from remote readings?

An encounter observation belongs to a visit and names its recorder. A remote reading belongs to a device enrollment and records the reviewing person.

When is an encounter complete?

The clinician records the actual end time after documentation is signed and outstanding care tasks are resolved.

How is a service billed?

Billing staff review the encounter's patient, clinician and service dates, approve the service charge, reconcile the invoice in the billing system and record a confirmed patient payment with its reference.

Can we connect our device and billing systems?

Yes. Map the device source and the invoice and payment handoffs during implementation, then rehearse duplicate and late events with your team.
