What you can do

Follow the customer's visit through the salon

A confirmed appointment becomes active work when the customer arrives and the authorized Stylist records the start of service. The booking moves into progress, then reaches Completed when the service evidence supports that outcome. The completion date records when the visit was finished.

A completed stylist confirmation and a completed customer visit describe different events. The confirmation operation prepares the service arrangement. The booking’s service lifecycle records arrival and the work actually performed. Reception and the stylist need to understand that distinction when reviewing the day’s appointments.

How the work is organized

  • Arrival. Start from an eligible confirmed booking and its current revision. The acting person must be authorized for the booking and its salon organization before recording the arrival action.
  • Service evidence. Capture the supporting material required by the salon’s completion policy. Move active work to Completed only when the service outcome is supported, retaining the completion date.
  • Operation history. Each completed action keeps a saved receipt identifying what happened. When an external result is unverified, the operation needs review instead of being represented as a supported success.

What to agree during setup

Agree who records arrival when reception and the stylist work together. The booking owner and staff access should reflect that operating handoff. Define what service evidence is needed for completion and how another authorized person takes over a visit if the assigned staff member becomes unavailable.

Keep scheduled end and actual completion distinct. The scheduled interval helps plan the day; the completion date describes the recorded outcome. Also agree how staff identify work that needs a correction after completion. Completed service should remain available in the history even when a later administrative or payment issue requires follow-up.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use a confirmed appointment whose stylist arrangement has already been reviewed. On arrival, the authorized Stylist locates the current booking and records the move into progress. At the end of the service, record the required evidence and confirm that the booking becomes Completed with its completion date.

Retry the original service-completion request and inspect its receipt. Confirm that it returns the recorded outcome without adding another completion record. Test an outdated revision and an account outside the booking’s organization so staff see how an ineligible request is handled.

Then compare the completed booking’s quoted amount with its payment-provider events. Completion of the service does not establish that the quoted amount was collected. Payment Reviewer examines verified provider evidence separately and follows any discrepancy through reconciliation. This keeps the front desk’s account of the visit consistent with the actual service and payment outcomes.

What your team sees

  • Service in Progress — Active customer visits with the assigned owner and planned interval visible.
  • Completed Bookings — Finished visits with their completion date and quoted amount.
  • My Bookings — Work assigned to the signed-in person for the current operating handoff.
