What you can do
Review and reconciliation in daily work
Operations Overview shows pending review decisions, failed operations, movement and availability charts and an exception queue. A review decision retains the source revision, deciding member, decision, time, reason and operation key. An operation receipt carries the action, expected revision, result state, occurrence time and any external or effect references. Together they let the team separate a completed effect from a retry or unresolved failure.
How the work is organized
- Decision. Record reviewer, source revision, reason and operation key against the request.
- Receipt. Keep the action, expected revision, outcome and linked effect references together.
- Exception. Compare local effects and any configured external authority before resolving uncertainty.
What to agree during setup
Agree the owner of the exception queue, how external references are confirmed and when a reviewer must re-examine a changed source revision. Keep attachments scoped by their internal or shared visibility. Name the Reconciliation Analyst who owns the exception queue and the Inventory Reviewer who decides submitted work. Decide how a changed request revision returns to review. Keep each attachment’s internal or shared visibility when evidence passes between roles. Where an external reference exists, record who can check its authoritative source. Rehearse a completed effect whose response was lost, a genuinely failed action and a receipt whose scope cannot yet be confirmed. Give each unresolved case a reason the next analyst can act on.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Suppose an issue confirmation times out after the warehouse team acts. The Reconciliation Analyst opens the receipt and checks linked posted movements, review decisions and attachments. If an external reference is present, the team checks the configured authoritative source. The analyst compares quantity, organization, item, location and revision before marking the observed result. A failed or needs-review receipt remains in the queue with its reason until the outcome is established. A matching operation key leads the analyst to the original receipt. The analyst checks the parent request, posted quantity, client scope and source revision, then compares any external acknowledgement with those same facts. If the effect is confirmed, the receipt can show completion without posting again. If the quantity or source identity differs, keep the case in the exception queue with a reason. The Inventory Reviewer can inspect a related decision without replacing the analyst’s observed result. The attachment trail lets each role see the evidence allowed by its visibility setting.
What your team sees
- Receipts needing investigation — Pending, failed and needs-review actions with their reasons.
- Recent review decisions — Source revisions, decisions and reasons tied to requests.
Follow the work through
Start with the client stock request path, then use review and correction when a decision or quantity needs attention. The data model shows how the records link, while roles helps the team rehearse access.
