What you can do
Storage charges in daily work
A storage statement links a parent stock request and client organization. It records the client reference, service date, billable pallet days and contract rate, with a revision and decision time. The Billing Specialist prepares the statement and submits it for review. The Inventory Reviewer freezes the submitted revision, examines supporting evidence and records an approval, rejection or return with a reason.
How the work is organized
- Parent scope. Keep the statement tied to its stock request and client organization.
- Submitted revision. Check client reference, service date, pallet days and rate against support.
- Decision trail. Inventory Reviewer records the decision and reason while the receipt identifies the guarded action.
What to agree during setup
Agree where the supporting rate and pallet-day evidence comes from, who may amend a returned statement and who approves it. Connect any downstream financial settlement separately and reconcile its reference against the approved statement. Agree which source supports billable pallet days and contract rate, and attach that evidence to the parent request. Billing Specialist prepares and submits the statement; Inventory Reviewer decides its frozen revision independently. Decide how a returned statement is corrected and submitted for a fresh decision. Rehearse mismatched organization, client reference and rate cases. If a financial system receives approved statement information, configure that connection and reconcile its acknowledgement separately from the review decision.
Check the handoff on an actual case
For a client statement covering a given service date, the reviewer checks that the parent request and organization match the client reference. They compare billable pallet days and contract rate with the support attached to the request. If the evidence needs correction, the reviewer returns the statement with a reason before a new review. A later approval keeps the accepted revision and decision time visible to the Billing Specialist and Client Manager. The Billing Specialist corrects the support or statement and submits the new revision. The Inventory Reviewer compares the client, service date, pallet days and rate again before approving. A rejection or return carries a reason so the preparer knows which source disagreed. The decision time and receipt help the team trace the guarded action. The Client Manager can read the outcome for the client; the Billing Specialist remains responsible for any separately connected financial handoff. No change to a stock movement is implied by the statement decision.
