What you can do
Give the recommendation a reviewable context
The Inventory Coordinator attaches a demand proposal to the stock request it concerns. The proposal records the model version, generation date, proposed units and confidence percentage. These details let the Inventory Reviewer identify which recommendation is being considered and compare it with the supporting evidence available for that request.
The proposal moves from Draft to Submitted when the coordinator is ready for an independent decision. The submitted revision is the scope under review. Approval records the reviewer’s decision on the recommendation; a stock request still needs its own operating authorization before a receipt, reservation or issue is carried out.
How the work is organized
- Identify the forecast evidence. Record the actual model version and generation date with the proposed quantity. Keep the recommendation linked to the correct request and organization so the reviewer can inspect its item and location context.
- Submit the intended revision. The Inventory Coordinator submits the prepared proposal with its supporting evidence. Changes to the quantity or model context need to be resolved through the review procedure before relying on an earlier decision.
- Record an independent decision. The Inventory Reviewer approves, rejects or returns the submitted proposal with a reason. Preserve the reviewed revision and operation identity so the coordinator can explain the outcome later.
What to agree during setup
Choose the forecast source and agree how its model version, generation date and confidence information reach the proposal. Define which current stock and demand evidence the reviewer should compare with the recommendation. The customer supplies the interpretation of the model’s confidence measure and the criteria for considering its output.
Agree how a changed recommendation is submitted and how a returned proposal is corrected. Keep the person preparing it separate from the person making the independent decision. Establish how the reviewer relates the decision to the proposal when several revisions have been considered under the same stock request.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Use a pilot stock request for a named item and storage location. The Inventory Coordinator records a forecast recommendation with its actual model reference, generation date and quantity. The Inventory Reviewer compares that recommendation with the current posted stock and active claims, then returns it if the evidence needs clarification.
Correct the supporting context and submit the current revision. After approval, inspect the decision reason and the related request. Confirm that no stock effect is inferred solely from the approved recommendation. The coordinator should be able to show how the proposal influenced the request while the Warehouse Operator can identify the separate authorization and physical evidence required for execution.
