Review and evidence

A reviewer decision ties a person, reason and source revision to a stock request. Attachments give that reviewer the supporting material, while operation receipts record the outcome of guarded work.

What you can do

Follow the operating record

Review decisions are separate records tied to a parent stock request and source revision. The reviewer, decision, time and reason give a clear account of what was accepted, rejected or returned. An attachment provides supporting material with its own uploader and visibility.

Operation receipts retain an operation key, expected revision, action and result state. External and effect references can help an Inventory Reviewer reconcile an uncertain outcome. A failed operation retains its failure reason rather than being confused with a completed stock effect.

A receipt can remain pending, fail or need review. Its operation key and effect references let the Inventory Reviewer distinguish an uncertain response from a second stock effect. The Auditor can then follow the decision and outcome without changing the record.

How the work is organized

  • Support. Inventory Coordinator attaches the request evidence and selects its visibility.
  • Decide. Inventory Reviewer checks the source revision and records an approve, reject or return decision with a reason.
  • Reconcile. Inventory Reviewer compares an uncertain receipt with its linked effect references before closing it.

What to agree during setup

Agree what attachments are shared, which remain internal, and who reviews uncertain receipts. Define a clear handoff between the coordinator who started an operation and the reviewer who reconciles its result.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Suppose a coordinator retries an operation after losing its response. The reviewer checks the existing operation key, the linked effect references and any posted movements before marking the receipt completed. If the effect cannot be confirmed, the receipt remains in the review queue. A second request should not be treated as proof that the first action failed.

Compare the receipt’s expected revision with the request revision and the review decision. If the receipt still needs review, keep it visible until the linked movement or transfer effect is identified. The reviewer should retain the reason for the final decision.

The request remains the common reference for an attachment, a reviewer decision and an operation receipt. Compare the attachment visibility with the reviewer and auditor access needed for the case. If the operation key appears on another receipt, inspect both records before deciding whether a retry created a new effect.
