How a SCM with Route Optimization rollout works
Start with one operating organization and rehearse route review through delivery evidence.
Set the scope
Choose an organization, its time zone, active partners and the team members who will dispatch and review.
Prepare records
Enter drivers, vehicles, load owners and a representative load with ordered stop windows.
Rehearse review
Submit a route candidate, have Transport Supervisor decide on the current revision and record the reason.
Run dispatch
Hold and confirm an eligible driver and ready vehicle, then record pickup and stop events.
Check outcomes
Record actual delivery, inspect exceptions and receipts, and review the reports with Auditor.
What the customer provides
Bring the partner directory, driver authority dates, vehicle capacity and readiness, a realistic load promise and stop plan. Name who owns the route source, GPS feed and delivery documents if those are part of the operation. Assign different people to route preparation and independent review.
Changing it afterwards
Change the plan through a new route revision when the stops or operating assumptions change. Review the current candidate before treating it as the approved plan. Keep past decision reasons, receipts and observed times available for follow-up. Begin with load preparation and use the data model for migration order.
