Assembly shops
Assembly shops often move the same product through changing operators and station schedules. Shop Floor Control gives each reported interval a named operator and work order, while assignments identify the station and intended working window. The planner can follow released work through production reporting and see which output still needs a quality decision.
How Shop Floor Control is set up for you
Station coverage
Assign the operator to the intended station and job for a defined interval. Review scheduling when a shift ends or an urgent customer requirement changes the queue.
Component issues
Identify the component item and lot on each issue, checking units and free stock before posting. Keep the material discussion connected to the actual work order being assembled.
Interrupted work
Raise an Andon event when Material, Equipment, Quality or Safety conditions affect the station. Record a useful resolution so the next operator understands how work can resume.

Choose a repeat assembly that the team can rehearse from an approved customer order through accepted output. Set up the finished item, the component records and the station used by the pilot team. Agree who maintains personnel identity and how the next operator receives the job when a shift changes.
During rehearsal, submit a valid assignment and a conflicting interval, then compare the results. Issue a component lot, record the assembly interval with separate good and scrap quantities, and pass the output to Quality Reviewer. Include an Equipment event so Production Planner can check how station readiness affects the next release. Agree the instructions and inspection evidence the team will use for that assembly before adding more stations.
