What you can do

Keep size guidance attached to its consent and context

Commerce Operator prepares a fit assessment for the selected sales order. The record includes the proposed product size, assessment date and confidence figure, together with the measurement-consent information. These details give Commerce Reviewer a basis for checking the recommendation the operator intends to present.

The assessment moves from Draft to Submitted for an independent decision. Approved work reaches Completed only after the required outcome has been recorded. The recommendation remains an estimate. Agree what its size and confidence wording mean before using them in a customer conversation.

How the work is organized

  • Preparation. Select the correct order and organization, then record the size estimate and its assessment context. Keep the consent information relevant to the measurements being used and the way they will be retained.
  • Independent decision. Commerce Reviewer checks the submitted assessment and records a decision against its version. The person preparing the recommendation and the person reviewing it must remain distinct for the independent review.
  • Completed guidance. After approval, follow the action to its recorded outcome before marking the recommendation Completed. Retain the assessment and decision evidence so a later question can be tied to the guidance actually reviewed.

What to agree during setup

Agree how measurement consent is collected, what information may be retained and who may access it. Connect the chosen measurement or sizing service if the team uses one. Define the wording for the recommended size and the meaning of the confidence figure; neither should be presented as a guarantee of fit.

Start with an order whose garment context is unambiguous. Decide how the team identifies the product being assessed when an order contains several items. Set the reviewer assignment and the correction path for changed consent, updated assessment details or a different intended size. A changed assessment needs a matching current decision before completion.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A customer asks for size guidance on a jacket. Commerce Operator prepares the assessment against the customer’s order, records the size estimate and assessment date, and checks the consent information. Commerce Reviewer considers the same submitted version and decides whether the recommendation is ready to proceed.

During rehearsal, change the proposed size while the assessment is under review. Confirm that the earlier version’s decision cannot quietly authorize the changed recommendation. Then try the review using the preparing person’s account under another role; independent review still needs a different person.

After a valid approval, inspect the retained action outcome before treating the recommendation as Completed. Explain the estimate and confidence wording consistently when presenting it. If the customer later returns the garment, review the original assessment with the order’s physical return and refund evidence without assuming that the return proves the estimate caused the outcome.

What your team sees

  • Fit Review Queue — Submitted assessments show the proposed size, date, confidence and consent for review.
  • Fit Drafts — Operators prepare assessment details against the intended order.
  • Completed Recommendations — Completed guidance retains its size and review context for later questions.
