How a Smart Meter Data Platform rollout works

Agree source identity, review responsibility and correction handling before accepting the first interval.

  1. Choose the pilot

Select a representative service case and source interval with evidence the team can trace. Name Utility Coordinator and an independent Authorized Utility Supervisor. Agree the meter identity, interval-end meaning and quality vocabulary.

  2. Establish access and scope

App Administrator confirms organization, service-area codes and staff membership. Resolve the current user's team-member link and test the cases and evidence each person may access.

  3. Prepare the evidence

Record the actual incident and affected scope, then locate source observations with their units and references. Preserve quality flags and verify that each review can identify the actual interval or evidence subject under the case.

  4. Rehearse acceptance and restoration

Submit and independently review the interval, then inspect the guarded acceptance result. Test duplicate and estimated readings. Separately rehearse authorized restoration with complete scope and a partial-scope refusal.

  5. Verify corrective work

Request correction of accepted scope and inspect the independently reviewed compensation. Reconcile an outstanding receipt against its local effect without external re-execution. Release the operating cycle after the team can explain both successful and refused outcomes.

What the customer provides

Provide the source meter identity convention, interval timing semantics and quality definitions. Bring representative source evidence, the incident identity and the meaning of affected units. Identify the field source authorized to confirm restoration and the people responsible for preparation, independent review and audit. Keep connection credentials within the approved administration process.

Changing it afterwards

Rehearse changes to source mappings, quality interpretation or reviewer responsibility before applying them to accepted work. Preserve prior decisions and use controlled compensation for accepted or executed scope. Recheck identity and organization access when membership changes. Use roles and access and connection setup for those changes.
