What you can do
Record the treatment that took place
Attendance is the record that a confirmed booking was delivered. The therapist or front desk checks the guest in at the start of the treatment, and the check-in records the time and the staff member who recorded it, resolved through their own platform user. The booking moves from Confirmed to Attended.
Only confirmed bookings can be delivered. A booking already marked no show or Cancelled is refused at check-in, so a cancelled guest cannot be counted as treated. When every booking on the session is Attended or no show, the session is Completed.
How the work is organized
- Check-in on arrival. The therapist checks the guest in from the session’s confirmed list.
- One check-in per booking. A repeated check-in does not count twice.
- No-shows marked before close. Missing guests are marked so the session can complete.
What to agree during setup
Agree who checks guests in: the therapist in the treatment room or the front desk at arrival. Decide the grace period for late guests and when a booking becomes a no-show. Agree how a late arrival’s shortened treatment is recorded.
Check the handoff on an actual case
The 10:00 hot stone massage guest arrives at 9:50. The front desk checks her in on the tablet, recording the time and the coordinator’s name, and the booking moves to Attended. Her therapist sees the check-in on the session list.
The 11:15 facial guest has not arrived by 11:30. The therapist marks the booking no show, the session is completed and the no-show policy applies. When the guest calls at noon asking to come in, the desk books a new session rather than reopening the old one.
During the pilot, check guests in for a full day and compare the attendance register with the therapists’ own notes. Every confirmed booking should end as Attended or no show, and no cancelled booking should appear as delivered.
