What you can do
Sell packages and know what each member holds
Members are your regular guests: a member number, name, email, the date they joined and a status of active, paused, expired or closed. The number of bookings they have made is kept on the record, so the front desk can recognise a regular at a glance.
Packages are what you sell: a name, a price, the number of sessions included and how many days the package is valid. The number of members enrolled in each package is shown on it. When a member buys a package, an enrolment records the package, its start and expiry dates, the sessions it allows and a status of active, paused, expired or cancelled.
Packages matter at booking. A member with an active package is booked without a new charge, and each check-in uses one session from the allowance, once. A member without an active package gets a pending charge at confirmation instead.
How the work is organized
The front desk enrols members and keeps their status current; the spa manager defines the packages.
- Package on the menu. Price, sessions and validity on every package.
- Enrolment per member. Start, expiry and status for each purchase.
- Allowance used once. Each check-in takes one session.
What to agree during setup
List your packages with prices, sessions and validity. Agree how pauses affect expiry, whether unused sessions carry over and who may pause or cancel an enrolment. Agree how members are identified at the desk. Prepare examples of a new member buying a package, a pause for travel and a package that expires with sessions left.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A guest buys a five-massage package valid for ninety days. The front desk creates her member record and an active enrolment starting today. Her first booking is confirmed with no new charge, and checking in uses one of the five sessions.
Two months later she travels for three weeks and the front desk pauses her enrolment. A booking she requests during the pause raises a pending charge because she has no active package. When she returns the enrolment is made active again and her remaining sessions are available.
