What you can do
Keep every member within a safe UV limit
Each member who uses UV services has an exposure plan authorized by an instructor. The plan sets the maximum minutes per session, the minimum hours that must pass between sessions and the date it takes effect. The instructor who authorized it is recorded on the plan. Submitting the same plan again returns the existing one rather than creating a duplicate, so a member never has two conflicting limits.
Every actual exposure is logged against the member’s plan: when it started, how many minutes and which device was used. Before it is saved, the session is checked against the plan. It must belong to that member, it must not exceed the maximum minutes, and it must respect the minimum interval since the last session. A session that would break the plan is refused.
How the work is organized
Instructors authorize plans and log exposure; the salon manager reviews the log.
- Plan before exposure. No exposure is logged without an authorized plan.
- Limits enforced. Sessions beyond the maximum minutes or inside the interval are refused.
- Device on record. Each session names the bed or device used.
What to agree during setup
Agree your exposure policy: how instructors set maximum minutes and intervals by skin type, who may authorize plans, and how plans are reviewed over time. Agree device identifiers for each bed. Prepare examples of a new member’s first plan, a session that would exceed the limit, a session too soon after the last one and a plan updated after a skin assessment.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A new member’s skin type means the instructor authorizes a plan of six minutes per session with a 48-hour minimum interval. On Monday she tans for six minutes on bed 3. On Tuesday she asks for another session; the log refuses it because only 24 hours have passed. On Wednesday afternoon the session is accepted, and the exposure log shows both sessions against her plan.
