What you can do

Explain the decision behind the operating record

Operations Reviewer examines a booking revision before recording an independent decision. The review retains the source record, source table and source revision together with the reason and decision time. That context lets the next shift distinguish approval of the current journey from approval of an earlier version that has since changed.

Operation receipts record the result of a ride-hailing action. Recorded, Verified, Failed and Corrected help the team distinguish an action that was recorded from one that reconciled successfully or needs attention. The action and external reference give reviewers a starting point for tracing the result back to the related operational work.

How the work is organized

  • Review the actual revision. Operations Reviewer checks the booking and its supporting evidence. Approved, Rejected, Returned and Escalated decisions need a reason the preparer can act on.
  • Examine the action outcome. Follow Failed receipts into the relevant booking, trip or cancellation evidence. Keep the reason for a correction available when another colleague examines the same action.
  • Use the shared overview. Operations Overview brings bookings, resource lines and ride requests together with review evidence. Its exception queue gives the operations desk a place to begin the daily investigation.

What to agree during setup

Define who prepares bookings and who independently decides them. Configure that separation before the pilot and rehearse it using actual staff accounts. Agree which changes require a new review and how the current source revision is checked. An approver should be able to explain what they reviewed and why the decision still applies.

Choose a consistent format for related-record and external references. Attachments may hold a ride voucher, photo or fare breakdown, while the review and receipt records retain the decision and action context. Decide how staff find those documents, who may access rider information and how exceptions are handed between shifts. Review the reports alongside the overview so their different populations remain clear.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A booking was approved, then its pickup interval changed before dispatch. Operations Reviewer compares the current revision with the earlier decision and requests a new review under the operating policy. Dispatcher supplies the changed scope and supporting evidence. Retain the earlier decision so colleagues can understand what changed.

During completion review, a receipt is Failed because the completion evidence refers to the wrong ride request. Trip Coordinator corrects the evidence through the agreed correction process. Operations Reviewer examines the corrected source and records the resulting action outcome. The next shift should be able to follow the earlier failure and later correction without mistaking either for a separate completed journey.

What your team sees

  • Operation receipt exceptions — Failed and Corrected action outcomes with their owner and external reference.
  • Bookings Awaiting Review — Journeys in Review, with the interval and revision needed for a booking decision.
  • Operations Overview — The operating summary and linked exception queue across bookings and ride evidence.

Follow the work through

Use cancellation and correction for changed scope and trip to completion for verification. Review roles before assigning decision authority.
