Transport depot yards
A transport depot coordinates trailers arriving between trips and vehicles assigned to later pickups. The team needs a clear parking record, an independent dock decision and assignment intervals that do not promise the same resource twice. Recipient evidence then explains the outcome after a load has left the depot.
How Yard Management System is set up for you
Track the waiting trailer
Inventory Clerk captures the actual arrival and current parking slot on the yard visit. Use the parent load to resolve a carrier reference that is unfamiliar to the incoming shift.
Protect the assignment interval
Compare driver and vehicle commitments before confirming another load. A change of load number cannot remove an overlap for the same physical vehicle.
Review the dock instruction
Transport Supervisor decides the submitted visit using current evidence. The preparer cannot approve their own work, and the completed dock action needs a persisted outcome.
Follow the receiving evidence
Record actual stop arrivals and departures with the recipient's proof reference. Keep the promised delivery available when explaining a late arrival to the team responsible for the carrier handoff.

Start with a depot shift and a regular set of load appointments. Agree parking names, the assignment time zone and who supplies driver eligibility and defect release evidence. External fleet and carrier systems are connections to establish with their owners during setup.
Rehearse a vehicle committed until 11:00 when another load requests it at 10:30. Resolve the overlap, then run a valid departure through actual delivery. Include a load that has left the depot but still lacks recipient confirmation. The team should identify that open evidence without changing the original delivery promise or assuming that a dock completion settled the trip.
