What you can do

Follow the approved outcome to completion

An approved review decision begins the delivery handoff for the reviewed cycle revision. The operation records retain the action taken and its result reference. Individual steps show the ordered work, and execution attempts preserve the provider reference or failure reason when an attempt needs investigation. Accreditation Cycles Workspace brings this trace into the selected cycle’s working context.

Accreditation Management Reviewer authorizes the approved outcome. Accreditation Management Operator follows the resulting execution and investigates exceptions. The cycle’s delivery reference and completion date let the quality team identify what was delivered without interpreting a pending action as a finished submission.

How the work is organized

The operation run links execution to the source cycle and revision. Each step records its action and input or output reference. Match the run’s source revision to the cycle revision when reading a delivery trace; an earlier run for the same cycle does not establish the later revision’s outcome. Where an external destination is connected, its receipt evidence belongs with the corresponding step so the team can compare the local result with the destination’s acknowledgment.

  • Retain the action identity. Use the existing operation reference when investigating a failed attempt or uncertain result.
  • Inspect the receipt. Compare the delivery reference with the step’s external source and receipt evidence before calling the handoff complete.
  • Keep uncertainty visible. An unknown attempt or run requiring reconciliation needs investigation before another delivery is requested.

What to agree during setup

Agree where the approved outcome will be delivered and what evidence establishes receipt. If the institution uses an accreditation portal or document repository, configure that connection and test its acknowledgment with the destination owner. Define who can investigate failures and how the reviewer is informed when execution has not completed.

Walk through the difference between Queued, Running, Succeeded and Failed with the operating team. An unknown result needs its own investigation because the destination may have received the action even when the local attempt did not finish cleanly. Decide which references the operator will use to resolve that uncertainty.

Check the handoff on an actual case

The reviewer approves a cycle revision and requests its outcome delivery. The receiving service accepts the submission, but the response is interrupted. The operator sees an uncertain attempt and opens the operation trace. Instead of requesting another submission immediately, the operator checks the original provider reference with the destination owner.

Once the destination’s receipt has been reconciled, the trace should explain the recorded result and its relationship to the approved revision. If delivery failed, the operator records the unresolved work and passes the findings to Accreditation Management Reviewer. The reviewer authorizes further delivery of the unchanged approved revision using the recovery procedure agreed during setup. The operator cannot edit the execution result. Preserve the original attempt so a later reader can understand why the work required attention.

Rehearse the ordinary successful case alongside this interrupted case. Ask Read Only Analyst to trace a delivered cycle back to its decision and receipt. The analyst should reach the same conclusion as the operator using recorded evidence, without changing execution records.

What your team sees

  • Delivered accreditation cycles — Inspect completed cycles with their delivery references and completion dates.
  • Execution exceptions — Investigate failed or uncertain attempts using the original operation context.
  • Operation run exceptions — Identify runs that failed or require reconciliation.

Follow the work through

Follow review and delivery, then use execution reconciliation when an attempt needs attention. Agree the destination through integration setup.

What it keeps track of

Data model
Accreditation cycles
Accreditation cycles submitted for a standard, tracked through criterion evidence collection, independent review and submission.
Review decisions
Independent reviewer decisions recorded against an exact source revision.
Operation runs
Workflow-maintained execution runs with operation key, input hash and persisted result reference.
Operation steps
Ordered steps inside an operation run with input, output and external receipt state.
Execution attempts
Each recorded attempt to execute an approved action for an accreditation cycle.
