What you can do

Follow the accepted offer into its order handoff

Customer acceptance follows the independent pricing decision. Quote Specialist records acceptance through the guarded action, keeping the accepted time and commercial value with the quote. The accepted revision and its line detail establish the scope that the downstream order connection receives.

A handoff request and a confirmed downstream result are separate observations. The handoff action checks the Accepted state, expected revision and configured connection. It records an operation receipt under a stable key for the quote revision, so the team can inspect what happened without treating a repeated request as a new order.

How the work is organized

  • Acceptance capture. Quote Specialist confirms that the customer’s acceptance applies to the approved quote revision within its validity period. The accepted time and amount remain available for the next operating team.
  • Downstream request. The accepted quote and immutable line scope are passed through the configured order connection. The operation key identifies the handoff for that quote revision and supports safe handling of repeated requests.
  • Result review. Quote Specialist and Auditor inspect the receipt state and external reference. A request stays Pending when the order connection is absent; a completed handoff needs actual evidence of the downstream result.

What to agree during setup

Choose the downstream system and identify who owns its connection. Agree the mapping of customer, device product code and accepted quantities before sending a live offer. Define what downstream reference proves that the order handoff completed, and who investigates a Pending, Failed or Needs review result.

Set the customer-acceptance convention separately from the internal pricing decision. An external document-signing service is a connection to arrange when the business requires it. Also agree how the team requests correction of accepted scope. Preserve the original acceptance and use the authorized compensating path when an executed action needs adjustment.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Start with a rehearsal quote that has an independent approval and remains within its validity period. Quote Specialist captures customer acceptance for that revision and checks the accepted time and value. With the downstream connection unavailable, request the handoff and inspect the Pending receipt. Confirm that no external order reference has been invented.

Then rehearse a connected handoff in a test destination. Inspect the resulting reference and repeat the same operation key. Confirm that the team receives the original handoff evidence without a second order effect. Finally, request a correction after acceptance. Pricing Reviewer assesses the compensating action where required, while Auditor can still see the original quote, decision and receipt trail.

What your team sees

  • Accepted Quotes — Accepted value, revision, time and customer together for the downstream handoff.
  • Receipt Exceptions — Pending, Failed and Needs review operation outcomes requiring investigation.

Follow the work through

Follow review and accept, then handoff and reconciliation. Define the downstream contract in integrations.
