What you can do
Prepare a scoped instruction
An Operations Analyst opens an instruction with a record number, subject, requested amount, owner, organization and counterparty. The status gives the team a shared point of reference as the request moves from Draft into Review, Authorized, Submitted and eventually Confirmed or Rejected. A provider reference is kept on the same record after submission.
How the work is organized
- Record. Keep the amount and value date visible while checking the requested action. A debit or credit account row records the trading account and amount that belong to this instruction. The analyst checks the account scope before asking for review; a name alone cannot show whether the intended accounts balance.
- Decision. A reviewer needs the revision that was actually submitted. The analyst and reviewer should agree which edits require a fresh review and how a rejected request is corrected. Provider confirmation is a separate event from the decision to authorize.
- Evidence. Keep the submitted revision, decision reason and later provider event under the same instruction for a complete handoff.
What to agree during setup
Agree the account rows required for a balanced request and how the analyst chooses an eligible counterparty. Decide which edits change the revision and need a fresh Independent Finance Reviewer decision. Keep the value date and requested amount visible with the instruction when it enters Review. Test the difference between authorization and provider confirmation: the reviewer permits submission, while a verified provider event establishes the external effect. Choose a provider timeout case so the team practices inspecting a receipt before any repeat.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Suppose an analyst prepares a $25,000 instruction for an eligible counterparty. They record the account rows, request review and keep the record number with the provider reference. When the provider responds, the team compares the confirmation evidence and amount with the instruction before calling it confirmed. A failed or unclear response remains visible as an unresolved instruction and receipt. At handoff, the reviewer opens the record number, account rows and revision that the analyst submitted. The analyst can then follow the recorded decision and provider instruction ID without treating an authorization as a completed external action. If the provider response is uncertain, the operation receipt and evidence stay with the instruction for investigation. A changed amount or account row returns the case to review with its earlier decision retained.
