Prepare the next review with Proto

Prepare production reviews with traceable sources and decisions.

It can

  • Snapshot Owner: List assigned production sources still collecting observations and show their dates.
  • Production Analyst: Find failed operation runs and show the source revision and recorded reason.
  • Metric Steward: Compare a draft metric definition with its source mapping and effective resource.
  • Independent Reviewer: Gather the run, result and evidence attached to an analyzed source revision.

Stays with a person

  • Proto can gather and explain records within the person's access.
  • The named reviewer makes the decision on a source revision, and the manager decides whether a reviewed result is ready to use.
  • Check source freshness, the operation outcome and current revision before acting on a generated summary.
  • Configure any external production feed with its owner and mapping rules.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree the measure

Name the operating unit, production date rule, time and unit definitions, source system and responsible people.

  2. Map the source

Create organization and production resource records, source mappings and a reviewed metric definition.

  3. Prepare a bounded pilot

Load a source capture, production snapshots and their linked observations for a short period.

  4. Rehearse operations

Invoke validation and efficiency computation from the workspace. Check operation keys, steps, source revision and persisted fields.

  5. Review and release

Have a separate reviewer record a decision, then reconcile the displayed result with source evidence. Assign and close a follow-up for a questioned case.

FAQ

Scope, rollout and pricing for Manufacturing Analytics.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Manufacturing Analytics for your business. Pilot one production unit, a short date window, a reviewed measurement definition and a sample capture that the analyst and reviewer can reconcile together.

What is the main working record?

A dated production snapshot carries the owner, definition, observed time and unit measures, lifecycle status and revision. Linked machine facts, runs and decisions explain how that source was handled.

Can we inspect individual observations?

Yes. Machine run facts retain their sequence, observed date, quantity, source reference and outcome with a link to the parent production snapshot.

How is efficiency computed?

The analyst invokes the computation for a source revision in the Production Snapshots Workspace. The operation run and numbered steps show the attempt. A successful outcome follows a read-back of the persisted source fields. Period and dimension results can be reviewed through their linked metric result records.

Who decides whether a result is accepted?

A named reviewer records a decision against the exact source revision, with a reason and evidence reference. The operations manager checks that decision before using the reviewed source.

Can we compare results across locations?

Organizations and effective production resource definitions give each source its context. Agree the metric grain, units and aggregation method before comparing results from different locations.

What happens when a source capture is stale?

The source snapshot records its freshness state, capture time and coverage window. The analyst investigates the capture before using linked observations in a production review.

How are exceptions followed up?

A manager assigns a due-dated action to a person. The assignee records progress, completion and resolution against the production source.

Can existing production systems feed the app?

Yes, as a configured connection. Agree source IDs, field mappings, capture windows and reconciliation samples with the team that owns each upstream system.

What drives the cost?

Manual use follows the platform's published policy. Imports, integrations, agent execution and other machine work use credits; implementation is scoped separately. See pricing.
