Compare planned output with recorded production and follow the evidence behind each result.

Production Dashboard helps production planners and operations managers compare a dated resource and product target with recorded shift output. Targets carry planned good units and minutes; linked shift actuals carry good units, scrap units and run minutes.

Prepare the review with Proto

Prepare production comparisons and evidence with Proto under the acting person’s authority.

It can

  • Production Planner: Compare the selected resource, product and target date with effective shift good output, showing missing actuals separately.
  • Production Operator: Check the selected target and shift inputs before submitting actuals under my authenticated identity.
  • Quality Reviewer: Gather the pending batch, linked work order, completed interval and finished-goods lot balance for my release review.
  • Manager: Prepare the approved demand basis and correction evidence for the operating review.

Stays with a person

  • Proto uses the acting account’s permissions and guarded actions.
  • Quality Reviewer owns the batch decision.
  • An operator cannot supply another person’s identity or edit a protected stock quantity because the output comparison looks favorable.
  • Check the saved evidence before selecting effective successor records for an aggregate.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree the operating boundary

Production Planner and Quality Reviewer choose the resource, product and production day. Name the source owner for approved demand and stock. Agree any machine feed or alert channel as a connection to set up.

  2. Map identity and records

Link the acting user accounts with staff identities. Prepare product units, resource availability and daily capacity, approved demand, feasible work order intervals and opening stock by item, location and lot.

  3. Prepare the review screens

Set up the views and report definitions against role scope. Test the personal production-log view. Agree how the comparison selects effective target and actual evidence after a correction.

  4. Rehearse guarded work

Save a valid target and linked actual, release a feasible draft, post an eligible material issue, record a completed interval and approve an eligible Pending batch. Include insufficient free stock, overlapping work, duplicate posting, repeated log name and unauthorized reviewer action.

  5. Reconcile and open live work

Compare accepted evidence with the operating baseline. Check stock quantities, effective shift results and batch disposition after each action. Obtain operating acceptance and agree recovery ownership before expanding.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Production Dashboard for your business. Pilot a resource and product over a reconciled production day, with a dated target, linked shift actuals, approved demand and an eligible batch review. Agree identity mappings and opening stock before live posting.

What do targets and actuals compare?

A target supplies the resource, product, intended production date, good-unit quantity and planned minutes. Each shift result links to that target and records good units, scrap units and run minutes. Compare the effective linked population and show missing results as missing evidence.

How do we handle a shift crossing midnight?

Agree which production day the target represents and use that target for the shift result. Keep the date the actual was recorded as capture context. Rehearse the operating timezone with the team so a late submission does not move output into another target day.

Can work be released with an overlapping resource interval?

The planner’s release action checks approved demand, positive planned quantity, resource availability and a feasible non-overlapping schedule before Draft becomes Released. Inspect both ends of the planned interval and recheck a proposed replacement against existing work.

How does material issue protect reserved stock?

The posting action compares the requested quantity with on-hand quantity minus reserved quantity on the eligible same-unit item, location and lot balance. Sufficient free stock posts the exact Draft issue and decrements that balance once. Insufficient free stock rejects posting.

How is a production interval attributed?

The interval action resolves the signed-in account through its linked staff record and saves that operator with the work order. It requires ordered interval boundaries and nonnegative good and scrap quantities. Repeated intervals and repeated log names are rejected.

Who releases an accepted batch?

Quality Reviewer approves the exact Pending batch after the completed-interval, lifecycle, prior-terminal-receipt and finished-goods balance checks. Reading production context does not give another role the reviewer’s decision authority.

What happens when a target or actual is corrected?

The capture action appends attributed successor evidence while preserving the earlier submission. Agree and test which record is effective before publishing aggregate comparisons. Keep the original available to explain the change, without counting both versions as separate production.

Can an action retry withdraw or receive the same output again?

A material issue posts against its exact Draft identity and decrements the eligible balance once. Batch acceptance checks that good terminal output has not already been received. Rehearse retries and inspect the returned evidence so the team can confirm that another quantity effect was prevented.

What does it cost?

Ordinary manual work, agent execution, model usage and connected machine activity follow the published platform contract. Implementation and rollout are priced separately. Review pricing and the implementation scope for the complete terms.
