Finished goods production teams

Finished-goods teams often need the production review to explain both output attainment and the disposition of the lots produced. Production Dashboard connects dated resource and product targets with shift actuals, while work orders and batches retain the operating and quality context. The same favorable output result can still require a pending quality decision before release.

How Production Dashboard is set up for you

Daily output basis

Production Planner agrees target good units and planned minutes for the selected finished product and resource. Production Operator captures the attributed target through the target capture action and verifies its saved references.

Released instruction

The work release action requires approved demand, positive planned quantity, an available resource and a feasible non-overlapping interval. A target alone does not release work orders or create a batch identity.

Shift explanation

Review good units, scrap units and run minutes against the exact linked target. Missing actuals stay visible as missing evidence. A later correction uses successor evidence without increasing the output population again.

Lot acceptance

Quality Reviewer uses the quality release action on a Pending batch after the completed interval and lot-specific finished-goods balance checks. Inspect the returned decision and test repeated acceptance before operational use.

Pilot a finished product on a resource with known planning dates and a small set of reconciled lots. Prepare the item's unit, resource availability, approved order context and the expected finished-goods stock balance for each review lot. Include a batch without completed interval evidence so the reviewer can verify that release remains blocked.

Define customer-specific inspection evidence alongside the completed interval prerequisite. Rehearse its source with the reviewer and preserve the lot identity through the decision. Agree receiving and downstream handoff ownership with the stock source so the production team can explain the returned release evidence.

Roles on the team

Production Planner
Owns production setup, planning and assigned operational work. Access restriction: Create/edit eligible drafts only. Active configurations require reviewed amendments. No direct edit of posted quantities, computed balances or reviewer decisions. Protected actor identity resolves from People.User and the authenticated runtime.
Production Operator
Captures assigned production work and evidence. Access restriction: Only assigned operational work. Native draft/evidence entry is limited to the listed tables; referenced setup and master records are readable solely as required labels and task context. Configuration, rates, commercial documents and approvals are never operator-editable. Quantity posting, signoff and state changes use the named guarded workflows with authenticated actor and source revision. Protected financial fields remain inaccessible.
Quality Reviewer
Reviews evidence and authorizes eligible domain outcomes. Access restriction: Review actions only on exact submitted revisions, independently of preparer where required. No raw approval or protected balance editing. Sensitive records visible only within professional and organizational authority.
