Ask for the next record to review

Give each warehouse role a starting point for planning, review and follow-up.

It can

  • Shift Supervisor: Show planned work due today and the assignments still waiting for review.
  • Labor Reviewer: Compare a submitted assignment's zone, start time, worker and planned hours with other coverage before a decision.
  • Warehouse Manager: Summarize the actual hours and supporting evidence for work awaiting acceptance.
  • Operations Analyst: Compare planned work hours with recorded evidence by organization and owner.

Stays with a person

  • The assistant can help a person find and compare records.
  • Labor Reviewer makes the assignment decision, and Warehouse Manager accepts completed work.
  • A source reference still needs someone who can inspect the source record.
  • A failed receipt needs an investigation before anyone assumes the intended effect took place.

  1. Map the operation

Choose organizations, active assets, zones, staff names and the first set of work orders.

  2. Prepare ownership

Assign an owner and due date to each job; confirm planned hours and organization references.

  3. Rehearse assignment review

Submit coverage, record an approval and a rejection, then check the decision reason and source revision.

  4. Rehearse evidence and acceptance

Record actual hours, add a supporting file, investigate an exception receipt and accept a finished job.

  5. Start a controlled cycle

Review open queues and reporting with the shift team, then expand to the next site or zone.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Scope, rollout and pricing for Warehouse Labor Management.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Warehouse Labor Management for your business. Start with one organization, active assets, a shift roster and a work order that your team can follow through assignment, evidence and acceptance.

What does a work order contain?

A work order holds its record number, subject, status, due date, planned hours, revision, organization, owner and asset. It is the parent for assignments, evidence, files, decisions and operation receipts.

How is a worker assigned to a job?

Shift Supervisor records the worker, zone, start time and planned hours on a labor assignment linked to the parent work order, then submits it for review.

Who decides whether an assignment is approved?

Labor Reviewer reads submitted coverage and records the decision with a reason and source revision. Approved and Rejected are separate assignment outcomes.

How do we see actual hours?

Warehouse Worker records actual hours on work evidence lines under the job. Warehouse Manager compares those lines with the work order's planned hours during Review.

Can one job have several evidence entries?

Yes. Each evidence line has its own line number and revision, so a job can retain work from different periods or sources under one parent.

Where do supporting files go?

Record attachments belong to a work order. The uploader gives each file a title, evidence type and Internal or Shared visibility.

How are failed actions investigated?

Operation receipts record the action, key, expected revision, outcome and failure reason. Admin and Warehouse Manager can inspect receipts marked Failed or needs review before deciding the next step.

How does completed work leave the queue?

Warehouse Manager reviews the work evidence and linked decisions, moves the job from Review to Accepted, and then closes it when the handoff is complete.
