Prepare work with Proto

Ask Proto to prepare customer, pipeline and retention work for review.

It can

  • Sales Owner: Ask for opportunities awaiting a next step or a close-date review.
  • Sales Manager: Ask for stage and expected-value summaries by owner.
  • Retention Owner: Ask for dated follow-ups that need preparation.
  • Retention Reviewer: Ask for submitted follow-ups and their linked opportunity context.

Stays with a person

  • A person decides whether a submitted follow-up is approved or rejected.
  • The sales owner remains responsible for the meaning of a proposal and the accuracy of a closing outcome.
  • Proto can prepare a case for review, but the team records the decision and checks its evidence.

  3. Run a sales case

Open an opportunity, add interest lines, qualify it, submit a proposal and record an outcome.

  4. Run retention

Schedule a dated follow-up, submit it for review and record the decision and completed outreach.

  5. Inspect evidence

Check activities, decisions, attachments and operation receipts against the source case.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure CRM + E-commerce for D2C for your business. Pilot one account, one owned opportunity and one dated retention follow-up before bringing in the full customer list.

Who owns an opportunity?

The Sales Owner is named on each opportunity. The Sales Manager checks ownership, expected close date and next step when reviewing the pipeline.

How is product interest recorded?

Add an interest line to the opportunity with the item, quantity, unit price and interest type. Link it to a product when there is a matching catalog item.

What happens when a prospect qualifies?

The owner qualifies the opportunity. The qualification action moves it to Qualified and records an activity and operation receipt.

How do we see proposals?

Submit the proposal from the qualified opportunity. The workflow moves it to Proposal and records an email activity and operation receipt. Send the actual message through your team's outbound email process.

How do we record a lost deal?

Close the opportunity as Lost and add a loss reason. The manager can compare that outcome with account and activity context.

Who prepares a retention follow-up?

The Retention Owner schedules the contact, purpose and related opportunity, then submits the follow-up when it is ready for review.

Who decides a submitted follow-up?

The Retention Reviewer records an approve, reject or return decision, the reviewed revision and a reason where needed.

Where do supporting documents go?

Link an attachment to the related opportunity or follow-up. The attachment records a title, kind and reference to the file.

What should we check before widening access?

Rehearse the sales and retention steps with the intended roles and organization scope. Confirm that the right owner sees the right queue and that reviewers can trace each decision.
