AI agent

Prepare the next conversation with your agent

Use an agent to organize customer work and explain evidence while people retain independent review decisions.

It can

  • Account Manager: Summarize owned opportunities, product-line detail and the next customer action.
  • Retention Specialist: Help prepare a clear contact purpose using the opportunity, customer context and confirmed order reference.
  • Retention Reviewer: Present the submitted plan and earlier decision reasons for the eligible person to review independently.
  • Auditor: Trace an operation result or completed contact to its authorized records and supporting references.

Stays with a person

  • An agent cannot replace the Retention Reviewer's independent human decision.
  • It cannot invent a confirmed order, completed contact or successful external email delivery.
  • Customer facts and communication results need evidence from the records or systems responsible for them.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Establish operating scope

Set up the organization, team members and role responsibilities. Confirm that signed-in users resolve to the intended owners before relying on assigned-work views.

  2. Prepare customer context

Bring in representative accounts, segments and contacts. Agree how eligibility notes and contact roles guide the commercial conversation.

  3. Rehearse the opportunity cycle

Prepare product lines, qualify the opportunity and record proposal activity. Close a representative Won or Lost outcome and inspect the action receipts.

  4. Rehearse retention review

Draft a follow-up with confirmed order context, an owner and purpose. Return an unclear plan, review the corrected revision and record the completed customer contact.

  5. Review access and evidence

Have the Auditor trace both the commercial and retention history. Test unauthorized reads and writes and confirm the intended reader can open supporting references.

FAQ

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure CRM for E-commerce for your business. Start with a representative account, buying contact and opportunity, then rehearse a retention plan with an independent reviewer.

Which customer segments can the team record?

The account segments are Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB and Public Sector. Maintain the commercial status and eligibility note alongside the segment so the team understands the current relationship.

How does the pipeline describe a deal?

Opportunities move through New, Qualified, Proposal and Negotiation before a Won or Lost outcome. The owner maintains expected value, close date, probability and the next commercial step.

What happens when a proposal is submitted?

Submit Proposal logs proposal email activity, moves the opportunity to Proposal and records an operation receipt. Use the team's chosen communication process to confirm actual email delivery.

How are products connected to the opportunity?

Commercial lines record item names, quantities, USD unit prices and discount percentages. A line can reference a catalog product with its SKU and list price.

What belongs in a retention follow-up?

Record the owner, purpose and intended contact date, with the shopper description, order reference and units ordered needed to understand the conversation. Link the plan to the relevant opportunity and account context.

Who reviews the retention plan?

The Retention Reviewer independently approves, rejects or returns the submitted revision with a reason. The Retention Specialist prepares and carries out the contact work under the team's procedure.

How do we record completed contact?

Record the relationship activity and supporting evidence, then mark the approved retention work Completed when the contact is confirmed. Keep an overdue but unfinished plan visible for follow-up.

Where does the order information come from?

Confirm the order reference through the operating process or order system that owns the transaction. Agree a storefront connection during setup if the team needs that information brought into its CRM work.

How can we investigate a disputed result?

Compare the operation type and evidence summary with the opportunity, related activity and review history. Open the supporting references and confirm any external communication or transaction result through its responsible system.
